  • Himax: Going Big Or Going Home In 2014 [View article]
himax is not fabless on lcos. why else purchase land and talk about production expansion to 2m units per month? haz is generally spot on too.

you are lying intentionally. i have been flying f-16s for the last 10 years using a helmet mounted display. the image is projected onto my helmet visor in a similar fashion as how google glass will work. it is focused on infinity and has done nothing to my vision, nor has it ever done anything to any other pilots' vision. and just so you know, this technology revolutionized our tactics and capabilities...glass will be huge.

    try again ntac.

guess that whole samsung oled rumor will finally be put to bed if samsung announces they are using lcos....and we all know that article was from an immoral journalist taking money from a hedgie anyway.

shorting himx is a fools game. this is a company with solid fundamentals that is servicing next big industry and run by insiders who put their money where their mouth is. could be $30 a year from now.

i dont understand how you can say its overhyped when you look at the eps projections, the google glass sale estimates, and the wearable tech mkt growth.

can you please explain after you have analyzed the 3 things i mentioned?

if anything, its still undervalued if you ask me. and obtw, nobody cares about trailing pe's.

diversification is how a lot of hard work can result in personal returns matching the spx.

of course, if you dont have the time to research the hell out of those eggs, best to avoid one basket then.

mkt valuation isn't going to wait for all that to happen! are you kidding? himx will hit 20 if we can just get some nda's released and prelim numbers from mgmt on lcos production. it doesnt matter that himx was so cheap a year ago, it was grossly undervalued...and it doenst matter it was 6 last month. clarity of potential justifies higher valuations, and some clarity has come in the last month. i'm thinking its going to run up to 14 unless we get further news to justify even higher numbers. and, i'd be highly surprised if google doesn't buy the option soon....especially since its at the same price as the first purchase.

the himx rally has just begun to be honest. if customers are lining up, himx could triple from here within a yr. lesser stocks have done more.

lets be real, gtat is not even in the same league as himx. estimates keep dropping, non gaap no less, and they dont have near the financial health himx does. plus, their mgmt sucks, convertible holders play the stock, and its just a matter of time before another secondary drops.

Well, the only negative I see is the fact that the market may not want to reward the future potential, in terms of stock price appreciation, just yet. Over the next few years, we've got a huge winner here, but the LCOS ramp up may still be a bit further out. For the short term trader, idk, I suppose it could go either way. Also, macro mkt movements will likely have some effect and I don't see the bull continuing to charge hard in the short term. In the long term, its a hugely definitive hold. I would have liked to see it make a new high a few weeks back. Instead, it essentially double topped. The first time it ran on speculation, the second time it was not only confirmed but Google bought a piece of the company. I thought that would push it to new highs, but it didn't. I suppose tomorrow they could beat and announce Goog is acquiring a full stake in which case it will probably run. Nonetheless, the short term can be difficult to predict, and Himx has been known to swing wildly.

  • Google Solidifies The Future Of Glass With Investment In Himax [View article]
it had 2.5 months of rumors to do that....imagine where this will be 2.5 months from now. i say 12-15. and at that valuation, there really is no pe premium still, just a fair fpe for a booming company.
