  • Petroleo Brasileiro Petrobras' (PBR) CEO Maria das Gra├žas Foster on Q3 2014 Results - Earnings Call Transcript [View article]
Very interesting and I believe in the restructuring the company to face the challenge of last scandals. Nevertheless, the short-run has taken us completely. There are secular issues in the relationship between the government and PETROBRAS, that this account has not addressed. In the future, particularly, the traditional shareholders' complaints of using the company to combat inflation to help government's policies, should also be addressed.

  • Is Cheniere Energy Overheating Again? [View article]
The replies don't answer the questions put forward in my comments, except the expenditures. Who is going to risk US10B without certain guarantees...thus the comment "assuming it even goes forward"...is cryptic.

Ah!!! I forgot...What about the upgrade that Deutsche Bank made recently? What are their weaknesses in their analysis? They gave a target price of US$47 for LNG. And today more contracts....

  • Big-cap bank bulls worried about a little too much love being shown for the hot sector may take comfort from an Atlantic cover and story entitled "What's Inside America's Banks?" It rehashes worries about the opaqueness of bank balance sheets and seems to draw quite a bit from a frustrated Bill Ackman who unloaded his Citigroup stake at a big loss right around the bottom last summer. [View news story]
What else do they want from C? He paid his share of TARP to the government; he has straightened out its loans; he has changed its CEO for better; he must profit from the global world outside the most industrialized countries, which now has a better outook than has they ever had in the past......What else?

  • Avoid Hovnanian, M/I Homes Over Restrictions On Preferred Dividend Payments [View article]
I am writing again my brief comment because probably it has not appeared because I was not registered. I liked the article written by Rider. It shows a lot of research and experience but I wonder if the uniqueness we are living in the housing environment nowadays, makes room for thinking other way. For instance, have you considered the real estate investments made by HOV in the past 4 years, since the recession startup? This may change the whole picture you are describing. Wait till these belongings reach their real value and we would have a different book value.

  • Avoid Hovnanian, M/I Homes Over Restrictions On Preferred Dividend Payments [View article]
Your explanation sounds quite adjusted to past trends in housing but present situation in the sector is unique. Why don't you consider the movements made by Hovnanian, regarding real estate investments that will help to considerable savings in the future?
