Agree on AAPL. Rimm may not be like Nokia, but it sure look like a CSCO now.

  • RIM (RIMM) -15.3% as trading resumes, after handing in guidance far short of expectations. "Delays in new product introductions into the very late part of August [is] leading to a lower than expected outlook" in Q2. Also: Unit sales of 13.2M were below already reduced forecast for 13.5M-14.5M; launch of “a program to streamline operations... which will include a headcount reduction.”  [View news story]
RIMM is KAKA. What can they do to avoid following NOKIA's foot step? It is time to stay short now.

No one sell more phone in ASIA than Nokia. Nokia also paying the most dividend. So what? I Bought Nokia stocks today, Bought RIMM call option for $36 June today, Shorting RIMM since late April. No position in AAPl.

Rimm's asia growth mainly focus in Indonesia and India. The price for Blackberry has been reduced to suit the local price range. But those asian countries with the strongest consumer purchasing power tend to lean toward AAPL products. These new generation of ASIAN AAPL users are willing to pay high price for I-phone. These consumers used overprice Nokia in the past. Now they are I-phone users, I-PAD user, and Mac user. AAPl have problem compete in Japan, However AAPL's growth come from China, Taiwan, Korea, Hongkong, Singapore.....etc. where real estate price are high, and if they can afford BMW, mercedes, why can't they afford an i phone.

RIMM dominate Canada with market share in the 40%'s....But AAPL is catching up with 32%. Let's hope people in Canada love their phone as much as the Japanese. It will be sad to see AAPl overtake RIMM in market share in CANADA one day

I travel to Asia regularly. More and more I-phone user. I surely don't see RIMM demand there. India? Where do you get this data?

AAPL seem inexpensive @$335. However there is no reason for AAPL to gap up near term. If the general market undergoes correction. Will AAPL goes down with it? AAPL has not been performing since 2011. I plan not to add any position until mid August. In April I sold upside $350 calls and bought $330 put to protection my position.
