  • Saudi Arabia Is Preparing To Prevent A Spike In The Oil Price [View article]
Snake, you need to realize the next gen technologies for low cost energy storage is here to compliment renewables. Baseload renewable energy is now very affordable.

Companies profiting from next gen storage include Beacon Power with a 25 MW flywheel storage plant up and running for years, Tesla's new batteries from the giga factory and SHEC Energy's CSP heat storage.

Google search prof Marc Z. Jacobson's proposal for a renewable energy based world. Fossil fuels are only kept competitive by the hundreds of billions in corporate welfare received annually across the globe five times the subsidies renewable get.

  • Saudi Arabia Is Preparing To Prevent A Spike In The Oil Price [View article]
There is an emerging model that eliminates fossil fuels with fast renewable energy based charging stations for EV's. UPS Fedex and of course California with Telsa's stations are early examples. The costs for renewables is constantly going down - while the need to eliminate CO2 pollution is constantly increasing. I believe we have seen the inflection point where for most city drivers, factoring in reduced maintenance costs, EV's are simply cheaper.

RE *However, overall there is little doubt that global oil consumption will rise as a general trend*

There is a risk that electric, renewable energy based motors will steal more of a market share from the internal combustion engine than anticipated.
There is even a change the ICE will eventually not exist.

  • Why Clean Energy Fuels Can Continue Beating The Market Despite Certain Challenges [View article]
Listener, Bob, NG still paying for itself over the long term with your numbers. But when you add cleaner running and the resulting savings in maintenance, repair and costs of downtime, NG is a clear winner. And that is true even at record low diesel fuel prices.

Mikie, don't waste your time with Waterman. He is obviously a paid internet shill for Monsanto. His plan is to offer stupid short responses to anything you say in order to piss you off. Dialogue is no longer the issue. Everyone with morals has a duty to do what they can to destroy Monsanto and to ridicule all their people.

Monsanto is the Great Satan of corporations. Any company that sues for patent infringement farmers who's crops have been infected with stray GMO's must be wiped out.
*Say NO to corporate GMO gangsters Monsanto and their cancer causing, SLAPP suiting, politician bribing pesticide poisoning monoculture. It is the politics of agro entrenched interests which are willing to see people literally tortured to death rather than risk their profits that holds back progress.

  • U.S. will not become energy independent, Total CEO says [View news story]
NONSENSE. Energy independence is not about fossil fuels.
It is about shifting to solar, wind, geothermal and wave energy.
It's about shifting to EV's and away from the ICE. It is about smartgrid and conservation.
It is about realizing the criminal insanity that has given big rich oil companies TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS in corporate welfare over the years to create killer global warming and compete against renewable energy by stealing tax payers money to skew the energy market in favor of fat cats.

  • The New Normal For Oil? [View article]
Real risk: If there are more improvements in EV cars and trucks or if fuel cells take off for transport that would leave even more excess supply. That would be an oil price killer.
