HAO JIN, GOOD ARTICLE. YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED ON 'MRNA'. MRNA, FORMERELY NASTECH LICENSED FROM THE CITY OF HOPE, AND NOW HAS MADE TWO DEALS, ONE WITH ROCHE AND THE OTHER WITH NOVARTIS, WITH REGARDS TO RNAI THERAPEUTIC PLATFORM. AT THIS POINT, MAY 7TH, AS AN INVESTOR, MRNA IS AROUND $.85CENTS, HOWEVER, SOON THEY MAY ANNOUNCE A REVERSE SPLIT TO COMPLY WITH DE-LISTING. I GUESS MY QUESTION IS, ISN'T THIS STOCK TO SPECULATIVE, AND LIGHT YEARS AWAY SORT OF SPEAK, FROM ANY SUCCESS AND REVENUE TO INVEST IN TODAY?

Ohad Hammer, I admire your guts and position. Jim Cramer has now done a 360 and advising people to sell everything, after hitting the buy, buy, buy bottom for years, and you are informing others about history and for people to consider biotechs now. But part of history is the depression to consider. At a time when global markets are plunging, I do not believe this is safe advice to publish. We are in a beginning stages of a global depression which will take years to possibly recuperate from. So investors are better off for now to hold onto their money, and use it for survival. It is bad out there and we are making new history Mr.Hammer.
FANTASTIC ARTICLE! Good job. Of course not all bloomed nicely. There are always some weeds and the SEC should be the ones who pull them out. Example, 'MRNA'. There has been so much damage to investors to date, that management ought not to be able to continue to pay themselves & exist for another 5,10, or 20 years. A total injustice to all!
Profiting from the Cyclical Nature of Biotech Stocks [View article]
Your article is right on. Although the market has been in a tizzy of late and there are many unknown probabilities, potential recession, and so forth you assessment happens to be accurate. Having said that, in following biotech stocks, one in particular does tend to rise during sept.,oct.,and november, that's nastech pharmaceutical. However, just as it always seems to go up during this time frame, it always seems to go down systematically in December, january, and february like clock work! Of course the smart ones know to get out before the year end earnings report surfaces! Thank you Dan for an informative report, keep up the good work! IFF
Sector Strength in Materials, Weakness in Biotech [View article]
I tend to agree with Mike 7 Woodson, but I like to add that some investors are obsessed with certain biotech's and no matter the news, trends, or reality of approvals, they keep buying with both fists. No matter if their stock has gone down 50% in a course of a year. Two examples are "nstk" and "gnbt". Even the message board of either company reflect the insanity of the shareholders. Whatever serious data published about either company, the shareholders pay no mind to it even if it's against the company. I call it intoxication of the Stock! JIMMY T>.
