  • BlackBerry Catalysts Right Under Our Noses? [View article]
@BBZ10USER: So if AAPL hits as low as $300 that would mean that about half of its value would represent cash and cash equivalents, and the rest of the company would only be valued at 150 bucks? Yeah Right. AAPL is a huge buying opportunity now. At $300, I'll mortgage the ranch to buy as many shares as I can get my hands on.

  • Intel Should Be Trading At $37 [View article]
It's worth the wait. Large tech companies such as INTC and AAPL are paying dividends that will net more than that money would in a bank account or even CDs, or even Treasuries. And these stocks offer the potential for growth! At these prices, adding more of those companies shares, for mid to long term investment, is a prudent investment.

@NPetersen: I don't know about you, but I don't make decisions based on polls. Not on ANY poll, period.

@rhutton: You are wrong. The ebay Z10 sales were Guerilla Marketing 101, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) , that is if you Googled "Z10 sales prices" then, you would have come up will a lot of ebay references showing that the Z10 was going for amazing premiums over retail prices. Some people "bought" that. Just using common sense would have told you that buying a new product, "second hand" on ebay, meant that your were paying premium to buy a new product without a warranty. Who does that?

Ebay wouldn't have known, nor cared, that this was going on. There were no complaints from customers, as those who were selling, were also doing the buying, and ebay got their commmision. Welcome to the real world.

  • Apple (AAPL -5.8%) has hit levels last seen in Dec. '11 following Cirrus Logic's warning and a Digitimes report about declining iPad Mini shipments. Cross Research calls Cirrus' warning "a reminder of weakening demand, and the challenges around product transitions" for Apple. Tero Kuittinen, noting sub-30M June quarter iPhone sales estimates and worries about the margin impact of emerging markets promotions, thinks "several nightmare scenarios have been priced in." "The naked fear of former Apple bulls is exactly what we need just before the earnings come out." [View news story]
I'd like to thank all the AAPL bears for this wonderful buying opportunity. Long AAPL forever!

Sad but true. Gold has always been the insurance bet. Steep declines are a buying opportunity. Just remember to buy real gold in small bars and bullion coins ( forget numismatic coins).

The Z10 wasn't selling on ebay for a $1000. That was a guerilla marketing campaign to drum up interest in the Z10. It's an old ebay scam. You put multiple items of what you want to get publicity for, on ebay, then bid them up to ridiculous prices, post on the internet everywhere how much they are selling for, SEO, and buy it yourself. In the end your only cost is the fee to ebay.

@NPetersen: meant to say last quarter.

You think BBRY is going to sell a million Z/Q10s every nine days based on a poll? The eternal optimist you are!

The subscriber base has already Fallen to way under 80M according to BBRY. Sales of the Z10 first quarter didn't break a million and the BB7 sold more. If that is what you consider good news and stabilization, then I'd hate see what you think is bad news and instability.

P.S. AAPL sells a million iPhones every three days, at a higher profit margin per unit, than any other phone manufacturer. So if you are looking for a real tech investment, a word to the wise: Apple.

  • Do Clearwire Shares Still Have Value? [View article]
That's why I stocked up on CLWR at $1.23, since I recognized the true value of the spectrum CLWR controls. And, I'll sell at a large profit, sooner than later.

  • A Clearwire Update: Bankruptcy And Default As Clearwire's Ace In The Hole [View article]
Yeah call me greedy. Spectrum is valuable now, because suddenly everyone noticed that it is valuable. Verizon offering to pay two thirds of the price, for just a percentage of CLWR spectrum, that S and DISH are offering for all of CLWR, shows who is being greedy.

If S and DISH want my CLWR shares, then just show me the money!

  • A Clearwire Update: Bankruptcy And Default As Clearwire's Ace In The Hole [View article]
Guess that I'll still stay stubborn, as Verizon offering to buy a small percentage of CLWR spectrum for $1.5 Billion, shows that the S and DISH offers to buy all of CLWR for less than a Billion more, are low balling the value of the spectrum that CLWR controls. Spectrum has become the most valuable "real estate" out there, and as more and more people realize that, the more CLWR will be worth.

  • 5 Irrefutable Signs That Real Estate Is (Still) In Recovery [View article]
Classic sign of a bubble is when prices are out reach. Right! And for the majority of Americans, prices for Real Estate are still out of reach, as wages have been falling for years. Most of the recent buying of single family homes are by investors looking to rent them out to those who can't afford to buy a home of their own, even after the RE crash. We've gone from families setting up households in their "own" home, to how many generations can you squeeze into a rental.
