  • Why Apple Is Still A Buy Even Though Amazon And Google Have Better Products [View article]
@nguyenvanphuoc: True, however I was referring to rumors of the Apple full TV monitor system, that is rumored to have much more going for it than TVs available now, and more than the current remote app will be able to handle. So a new app will be in order.

I think Apple should have put out an internet enabled TV long ago, it would have sold well. Then again if all the rumors of a vastly superior Apple iView system are correct, then it will blow away the whole TV market, and become the next big thing for AAPL.

@ptmmac: Yes they have recorded and set aside funds for the estimated taxes, but they haven't actually paid the taxes, so they can't use it as after tax money to buy their own share, and because it isn't after tax money, they can't use it for dividend payouts either.

At CC Tim Cook said AAPL wasn't afraid of cannibalization. He pointed out how it has hurt iPod sales, but boosted other product sales. It happens and they are dealing with it.

Might be noted that the iPod is rumored to be the future remote for an AAPL TV.

@freed0m: "The market is not confident about its future." OK, why?
AAPL has the most cash on hand.More than any other company, even large banks. It has zero debt. It has the best earnings of any company ever. It has loyal customers who pack its stores everyday, and form lines to buy any new product announced. Its R&D is second to none, its competitors are only copycats of Apple. Apple didn't need a government bail out. So again I ask you why would the market not have confidence in AAPL? Answer: No reason, except to use that lie, to manipulate the price of AAPL shares downward. What can the individual investors do to protect themselves from the market manipulators? Buy more AAPL shares at these, what will come to remembered in the future as, ridiculously low prices, and hold on long term, without being scared out of your position in AAPL by the market manipulators and wild, insane market swings. You only incur a loss if you sell your shares at too low of a price. Don't jump to sell, every time the market manipulators spread their anti-Apple propaganda. Apple is the greatest company in history.

    Apple is a good buy.

Because Amazon and Google do not make better products.

Since I didn't buy Apple at above $400, I'm fine.

Short term moves are for gamblers. All this is, is a great buying opportunity for AAPL shares.

Long term investing is how you win. Think Warren Buffet

Yes, People's Republic of China, is a Communist government, who does have to "approve" all items sold in China, before they can be sold there. However the iPhone has been sold for year's in China, and iPhone 5 is not an exception. Apple has been making billions of dollars for years on iPhone sales in China. Cut the crap!

Samsung's Galaxy is an inferior Knock Off of the iPhone. No amount of advertising is going to change that.

No. Income tax violation if they did. Can only buy back their own shares with AFTER tax profits.

There are a couple of companies, much smaller than China Mobile, selling iPhones in China. That's why CM wants the iPhone, because those smaller companies are eating CM's lunch on selling higher end phones.

People seem to not understand that China has twice as many people, who have incomes at USA middle class levels, than the USA does. It may not be as large of a percentage of China's population, than it is in the USA. However, in real numbers China is larger than the USA in numbers of people with those income amounts. A similar situation exists in India. Plenty of people in Asia can easily afford Apple products, and they want them.

  • Don't Believe The Hype: Apple's Growth Story Is Not Over [View article]
Some people are a great loss, but no one is irreplaceable. Jobs left Tim Cook with a long term list of goals and products, and directions on how to make the Steve Jobs vision continue. Jobs was working on future plans for Apple even on his death bed. Apple is the future, and everyone else will continue to imitate Apple products. That's why AAPL will remain #1, both in profits and innovation.

@alpne: The only thing Samsung has figured out is how to copy Apple. You must have heard a different CC than I did, to draw the conclusion you have.

In at $150? They'll have over $150 per share, in liquid assets by the end of next quarter!

Ramp ups are hard, however this is not a short term problem for AAPL. Tim Cook is the supply chain guru. That's why Steve Jobs wanted Cook to take over. This has been in the works for years, and it's all ready to go. That why AAPL cut parts orders from, what will shortly be former suppliers.

What was Tim Cook doing in China, aside talking with China Mobile? The China Mobile deal could have been a great cover story, to mask putting the finishing touches on an AAPL manufacturing operation or an acquisition in China.

It not just going to happen, it has happened, and Steve Jobs fingerprints are all over these moves. Nothing but growth and profits for AAPL near term and long term.
