Since I didn't buy AAPL at over $400 I couldn't lose. I did watch the fall from $700+ with some chagrin, but not fear, nor panic. It was just hard for me to understand that there are so many fools who would sell into a void in the market, thereby making the fall in price worse. So many fell for the anti Apple propaganda barrage, and sold. It's their loss. And, they themselves created their losses, by selling in panic mode. Nothing AAPL did caused this drop. Long term the numbers look excellent for AAPL, and I have a four digit share price in mind, for the not so distant future for AAPL. All this is, is a lucky break in price of AAPL, for a buying opportunity, for those who think long term.

If the share price of Nokia can go up to $10 per share. But it won't. Nokia, RIMM and the rest are the also ran"s in the competition with AAPL. No one wants Nokia anything. And, BB was a ball and chain that your employer handed you to keep you on call. For their own use those employees bought the iPhone.

One of the criticisms here about AAPL, was not a big enough dividend, along with not big enough buy backs, and not splitting it's stock. Nokia can't do any of that, nor can Nokia beat AAPL in smart phones sales.

Didn't Nokia just stop issuing a dividend for the first time in over 125 years? No dividend, no investors. Just ask so called Apple "investors."

AAPL's iTV is being titled iView to differentiate it from the fossil image of TV.

  • Don't Believe The Hype: Apple's Growth Story Is Not Over [View article]
@errolofdanvers: You ask, "Who is right?" Answer, Not you.

You point out the low price of the stocks and the averages PE, on good earnings, then say that will lead to financial armegeddon? No, when prices are low, then that is the time to buy.

Hmmm! After checking around the Web, it seems this $400 per share number is on the lips of every AAPL doubter, naysayer and critic, as a point at which they would lower themselves to buy Apple.

When that bunch starts talking about when they will buy Apple, then it is safe to assume that AAPL has indeed bottomed out, and it will be heading skyward come Monday. Adjust your Apple strategy accordingly.

Right! AAPL does it right. The smart phones before AALP were really dumb phones, and iPod was more than an mp3 player, and has continued to be more than an mp3 player, and it may end up being the remote for the iTV, wait and see.

    Point #1 I'm correct.

Point #2 You don't understand "smacking." Refer to point #1.

Point #3 Mr. B is a long term investor, who doesn't waste money hedging. Every penny is invested in terms of Future Preference.

"it's all about pineapples and coconuts." Refer to point #1 again.

AAPL will exceed its previous highs. There is so much going on that we are not privy to. I am watching for any clue to what is happening. My reading of the CC was extremely positive, with many hints of big things to come. When I couple that with the real fine numbers, it gives me a four digit future price to look forward to. Others can do what they want. Me, I'm bullish on AAPL.

Yeah, who are you? No one has seen the next tech great thing until AAPL showed it to them. Practically everything in tech is an AAPL knockoff.

You said, "I will pay closer attention to earnings season going forward, especially using options." You mean you weren't paying attention to earnings season before now, especially using options?

Your post smacked of the "I see a pattern here school of trading." Ain't gonna happen in the real world.

Warren Buffet buys and holds. That's investing. Options are gambling.

That is not normal, not even for AAPL, but, hey, as long as you understand that options are gambling, not investing, then do what you want.
