Yet, Mr. Market is not impressed. Wonder why? Maybe the sector.

Isotoner. Now there's a blast from the past. Wasn't that long ago when all the gals were wearing them. Nice looking and good driving gloves, but useless in the winter.

What the hell is a Bonga?

Nice that they're in such a politically stable and safe area. Healthy, too.

  • Realty Income: When To Buy In A Rising Interest Rate Environment  [View article]
    Mr. Ditchek

Data was concise and pertinent. Looking forward to your upcoming articles on OHI and HCN. as I want some health/nursing care exposure in addition. Why not include HCP while you're at it?

Glad to see your feedback. Quality of discussion on threads always elevates when authors constructively engage.

Long O, my only eREIT currently.

    Now following.

  • Is Monmouth Ready To Run?  [View article]

Two issues put me off on MNR:
    1. Their outsized dependence on one tenant, FedEx, over 40% by your pie chart.
    2. Their sister company, UMH, which is in the manufactured home business and is a real drag. Michael Landy, MNR CEO is Exec. V.P. of UMH.

Add the static dividend yield (Landy was on Cramer a while back and offered NO encouragement for a raise anytime soon) and MNR is one to avoid.

  • Frothy Market, Impending Correction - What's A Dividend Growth Investor To Do?  [View article]

Agree. In red hot markets, it's hard work to find any decent value.

When the markets are down and out, it's fairly simple to assemble a group of quality companies to buy.

  • Rising Interest Rates And BDCs: Part 2  [View article]

Thanks for a great string of articles on the BDC sector, which can be quite nuanced. Thanks to you, I've been able to make some informed investing decisions.

I like the fact that you actively engage in the threads. A lot of the questions people ask are ones on my mind as well. It really enhances the quality of the discussions when authors constructively participate.

Please keep up the good work.

It would be hard for them to nationalize Citgo, seeing as how they already own it.

  • National Health Investors Is On A 'REIT' (Really Encouraging Investment Trajectory)  [View article]

Agree, nice company. Showing strength in a down market today, too, when all their colleagues in that sector are down.

Been on the prowl for a healthcare REIT; this may be the one.

  • Ensco: Fleet Analysis As Of July 16, 2014 And Commentary  [View article]

If you notice, D.B. did not say anything about ESV or NBL financials.

I think it was a case of damning the whole sector for a couple of underachievers. I thought their downgrade release was quite superficial, actually.

  • Why Does AT&T Have A 5% Dividend Yield?  [View article]
The author errs in discussing AT&T's "growth" over the last 10 years.

This is because SBC Communications (one of the Baby Bells) bought T and closed on the transaction in 2005, however adopting the AT&T name. So, of course the "growth" was "explosive", because it suddenly incorporated two businesses into one.
Therefore, growth data going back a decade is not relevant.

  • CEFs: An Opportunity In A Nuveen Floating Rate Fund  [View article]
I've held HIO through some distribution cuts because they are reflecting the earnings. And I think that this is more honorable than trying to maintain dividends via destructive ROC.

Morningstar gives JQC a 3 star "Bronze" rating, which means they like it. Their site is all screwed up today, so I wasn't able to read an analyst report.
