  • Don't Be Fooled By False Growth At Large Banks  [View article]
Thank you for the article. What do you think of the analyst Mike Mayo? Did you consider that the provisions for credit losses might be at historical norms? I believe that the main ingredient causing the last financial crisis was all the fraudulent mortgage backed securities that banks sold with a triple A rating and then started buying back to make their earnings. During that period the provisions for loan losses were probably pretty low, since they bought credit default swaps to hedge their positions. Since AIG was the main issuer of those swaps, the banking community had to know that the only way AIG could make good on those swaps was with a government bailout.

  • BlackBerry: Game Over?  [View article]
I heard the Dell deal fell through for Carl Ichan so maybe he can become BlackBerry's white knight. I sold at $11.25 in the premarket and bought back at $10.48 and10.53 a little before 3 o'clock. If the shorts shorted to many shares today (they should have been covering) some of the big boys may decide to squeeze them.

@jack434, Did you hear the conference call and how long have you been long BBRY or traded BBRY? I agree with you about the Q10.

@ the authur, do you know if Prem Watsa is still short over 50,000,000 shares. I know he owns 55,000,000 shares through Faifax, but when I first started trading BBRY in January of this year I thought I read something about him being short against the box an equal amount of shares?

@Sundeez,they didn't miss that bad. But I think they do all the anti-share holder stuff they do is because Prem Watsa hasn't covered his 50MYN plus share position yet!

@sott trader, most of the people commenting today and tonight are new to this board including yourself. You sound like a basher to me. A lot of traders have left this board and BBRY is now in stronger hands as indicated by the much lower volume and the shorts are finding it harder to borrow stock. I think the 6/28 ER will create a short squeeze.

Remember most of the shorts are hedge funds and most of those hedge funds are doing worst than the S&P 500. Cramer got out of the business to be a clown.
