    Surprised you missed the dividend reductions for the ING buy/write funds IID, IGD, IRR and IAE. These are widely held and very popular funds. IID, in particular, collapsed from a 30% premium to almost par!

    Wondering what category buy/write (call option writing) equity CEF's fall into? Many have gone to low single digit discounts if not absolute premiums! Saw the same thing happen in Jan. and we all know how that turned out.

  • CEFs Continued to Outpace the Market in January [View article]
    CEF's have been on a ROLL!! If they are the canary in a coal mine, the market is due to take off. If not, CEF's are in bubble mode. I've NEVER seen so many CEF's at premiums, particularily high yield, preferred stock, loan participation and munis.
