  • Who Is Going To Finally Stop Herbalife? [View article]
Very good points Yteeld. Amazing slant throughout this whole article. Let me see now,.....the last time I remember, the number of people who were drinking the shakes daily was upwards of 60 million people a day. They focus on the LESS than 1%, and continually avoid any and all positives.

  • Bridge Watch On The MS Herbalife [View article]
spunboy, fyi, #2 HLF does not consider them currency... because they are not currency....
to relate a volume point to a bitcoin... is an irrational comparison. The volume points on individual products has not changed in 20 years. It is a conversion ratio... nothing more.... nothing less....
volume points... much ado about nothing....

  • Bridge Watch On The MS Herbalife [View article]
Volume points, to my knowledge are nothing more than currencies exchanged into a usable formula for paying downline royalties around the world. Rather than using denominations of any single country as a base, it is used to figure out the complexities and rate exchanges world wide. Notihng much here. What is the fuss about? Any serious student of the HLF business model should be able to figure it out. So many clueless accusations. The comments about "drug cartels" using Herbalife,.. and of course the Madoff reference.... are worthless.
If the drug cartel accusation had merit, why not go after the trucking companies and FedEX, etc etc... and of course the hollow statue's filled with drugs,... and of also the banks that HLF does business with....... none of which makes sense.... just keep throwing it against the wall

  • Herbalife: What The FTC Has To Work With [View article]
Anybody can do anything with numbers...
It is very hard for a brick and mortar company the size of Herbalife to double in size over a relatively short time, which they did. How did this happen... They brought value to the marketplace..
HLF is a Network Marketing company
FB is a Social Networking company
Put the two together, with Instagram and you have a Social Network Marketing opportunity. Social + Network + Marketing= Opportunity
People ARE making money Roger, more then ever, and they are helping people who need community, more than ever. In terms of technology, almost all the posters and authors on SA are not up to speed with todays day and age.
Does anybody on SA have over 1,000 friends under 25 on facebook? Does anybody that actually reads these articles have a true sense of what is happening in todays "marketing world" It's almost a necessity out there in todays world to have massive social networks. Those are the numbers that matter in todays market,... eyeballs
There is more value is in those numbers, than the constant reference to Madoff, Enron ...dated material about Herbalife from 20 years ago... etc .. etc ... You bring out some valid points, and some not so valid points... RICO??

  • Can The Regulators Afford Missing Herbalife? [View article]
Every example you mention is strictly paperwork related situations, where it is easy to hide greed, and manipulation. Comparing Herbalife to these examples is once again comparing apples to oranges, unfortunately for you.

For most people, including regulators, the FACT that they are investing over 1/2 BILLION dollars in infrastructure around the world, carries weight. I hope they have more sense than to listen to your "examples"...

Don't forget QTR, you are backing the "white knight" who generously donated "all the profits" of this sure bet to charity. That was the biggest joke of all. Even with cutting his loss, it is starting to add up...maybe a minus 1/2 billion so far.

  • Pyramid Schemes Don't Grow To The Sky: Saturation Will Bother Regulators [View article]
Thanks for the link Dave. This is the data opinion from the link to Ecuador. Checking Brazil... and many other countries... they all start out with 1 word... H E R B A L I F E ... interesting
Herbalife is expected to lead sales of meal replacement in 2013 with 13% of the value share, though it maintains 96% of sale of meal replacement slimming. Even if the company has not been present in the country for long (since 2008), it has successfully created a large sales network and it has sales representatives all over the country.

  • Are Herbalife Revenues Materially Overstated? [View article]
87ji... the facts are that the vast majority of products (correct me if I am wrong,.. but less than 1% returns of products) are NOT returned, and they are consumed as they go through the pipeline. If there were large buybacks,... do you think the company could have grown billions of dollars in sales in the last few years???.. It's the mega trends at work...

guaranteed they are not selling, rebuying... and reselling over and over. This rule was put into place to let people know Herbalife stands behind it's business model and products... and is not hiding anything.

  • Are Herbalife Revenues Materially Overstated? [View article]
The "Gold Standard" has been around since early this year, with major parts of it having been around for much longer. According to the transcripts, returned product amounts are trending down. They have never been a large issue. If you like minutia,... this article was exactly that.... complete with a watering down of the word "genius"

  • A few notes from Herbalife's Q2 CC [View news story]
A lot better than a "value" meal with a coke... and some toy that's given out as an addictive prompt... while obesity runs rampant... now... that's disgusting. Kids running around in a park... having fun with other kids...sounds good to me.

  • Softness for HLF shares continues [View news story]
At a certain point, HLF will become a cash cow and dividends will reappear. Until then, I hope they keep buying back shares and squeezing. I get a laugh that shorts ridicule that strategy. Only on SA...

  • Herbalife: POOF! There Goes The Bull Case [View article]
It is, when all is said and done,.. a rather brick and mortar business. No company can do what people expect of HLF. Too bad. Bottom line though, they will never be shut down... sorry Bill... sorry QTR. How could this company ever record twice as much sales as GNC?....almost half the world wide nutritional sales.
... QTR your wonderful prediction... "This should be a $30 stock"... Keep dreaming
