Sun beams and pin wheels. AT, another Solyndra type scam. Bought at 15.69 and was almost even in Oct/Nov 2012, at which point I was going to bail. Close but no cigar. Now holding a bag full.
Electric Vehicle Roundup: 1) Chevrolet Volt (GM) sales continue to fluctuate wildly, up 59% Y/Y and 43% M/M in Feb. to easily beat sales on Toyota's (TM) Prius. 2) Look for Ford (F) to include sales numbers on the Fusion Energi as the model hits dealerships this month. 3) Nissan (NSANY.OB) sold 636 Leafs in the U.S., +36.6 Y/Y, flat M/M, just ahead of the unveiling of a new model. 4) In Scotland, politicians issue campaign promises to install an EV charging point every 50 miles. 5) Tesla Motors (TSLA) trades in the mid-$30s post-earnings. The broken system was repaired under Reagan and the adjustment for retiring baby boomers was included. Pay check deductions were increased and retirement ages extended. Since then, all excess collected funds were put in a "lock box".
Now as the baby boomers are retiring in greater numbers, the benefits exceed the taxes going into the box, so some money needs to be taken out.
This is where the problem occurs. The money in the box was stolen and spent. It's empty. The $2.5 trillion endowment for the retiring baby boomers is gone.
That's why it's a problem today, and not in 35 years when the box was supposed to become empty, as many of the boomers were dying off.
Is that $2.5 trillion included in the debt figure of $16+ trillion?

Chevron (CVX -2%) says it may consider expanding its proposed liquefied natural gas export terminal off Canada’s Pacific coast because of its "vast amounts” of gas reserves in the Liard and Horn River formations in British Columbia. Meanwhile, Canada's government gives final approval to an export license for Shell's (RDS.A) planned LNG plant on the coast, only the third such approval. [View news story]
