  • Will Smartwatch Early Bird Samsung Steal Apple's Worm? [View article]
wedmorn said "Who wears a wristwatch anymore?"

The other night I was sitting next to a girl at a bar. I noticed she was wearing a watch and also had a phone setting on the bar. Being long apple, and thinking about the iwatch potential, I asked her what the time was. She picked up her phone and told me. I smiled and asked her if it agreed with her watch. She said it did, while I was thinking to myself "Why the fk are you wearing a watch".

Since then I've been checking with friends. I was actually surprised at the results. Seems a least 1/2 young people wear a watch. The reasons being it's stylish or traditional. A quick glance is also easier than picking up the phone, or taking it out of your pocket, then turning it on. Probably also saves on limited phone battery energy.

But since I neither wear a watch or carry a mobile phone, what do I know.

"that is hardly a case for the whole enterprise being a hoax."

Correct. Only 95% of it is a hoax.

I suspect that the author is familiar with wuwt.com, but for Michael, and others that want to observe a scientific discussion of the global warming, climate change, climate disruption, climate weirdness hoax, visit Whats Up With That.

SZYM is NOT struggling to find enough cash to build their first few commercial-scale facilities. The others mentioned may be, but the SZYM / Bunge JV plant in Brazil (80% complete) and the SZYM / ADM JV plant in Iowa (due to commence operations in the next few months) are fully financed.
