  • Apple Exits The Steve Jobs Era, Bets On Engineering Of The Financial Kind [View article]
I picked up some AAPL not because I am an Apple product enthusiast, but because I felt strongly that with all the noise, the cash hoard coupeld with loyal followers would bring this sucker up from the 'depths' of 400+/- a share...sprinkle on a little financial engineering and ponder for a moment that AAPL's global ecosystem is guided by a board that has a biochemist as its leader...

Patience is my 'best friend' in this business of stock-picking. Granted, I don't always listen to my best friend...

With all that is swirling around this stock/company, I will stay long my tiny position. I think it will prove to be a reasonable investment. Regards, Moses

Stockperks, nice comment. This fledgling value guy (yours truly), who prefers buying on the way down, may have been a dollar or so early (averaged in at 13 change), but am looking forward to positive results moving forward. Happy with my very full position...let's enjoy making some money. Cheers, Moses

jenchr88, I appreciate your insights on the ground. Do you think the plants coming back on-line will be burning coal as baseload or have they been retro'd to NG? Regards, Moses

I am tired of yapping about AAPL. It makes my head hurt. What doesn't make my head hurt - one of the best screen names around - BADSANGRIA! Well wait, bad sangria does make your head hurt. Nevermind.

    Awesome handle.

Android Razr Maxx HD for me, thank you. My small AAPL position is a response to the insanity surrounding this name.

I propose a moratorium on AAPL related stories on SA for about a month. It would give everyone time get out of the emotion surrounding this name. Regards, Moses

  • Investment Roller Coasters Are Better On The Way Up: 3 RSI Based Picks [View article]
MT is the world's largest producer of steel. The world's largest...Car production in Mexico is expected to increase by 40% or so in the next few years as global auto producers relocate to Mexico, along side American manufacturers who are already there. Why are they doing that? To take advantage of cheap labor and burgeoning demand in South America for cars. Better proximity to the North and South American car markets means logistics efficiencies increase, steel transport costs decrease, while sales improve as the steel cycle ramps up...offsetting less than stellar steel industry results in Europe and India? What do you think that means to MT Americas results? Cheers, Moses

@rjj1960 - love your picture. One of my personal favorite spots in the universe! I am with you on NOV. I am content to sit on that meager dividend and let capital appreciation take me where I need to go.

@phil2k, I respectfully disagree with your assessment that you '...reckon I can pick this up in the mid-50s'. I reckon mid 60s to low 60s will be about what you get if you want a 'bottom', unless you are figuring in a major downside move for the entire market. By major I mean greater than a10% correction. That said, I will ask my wife for more cash if it gets that low, cause I am buying more!
