thought i was the only one that felt a political slant/rant on this article. Was informative until it tackled US of A and then the biases and partisanship took away from the article
It's Time For OpenTable To Think About Diners [View article]
Kind of ironic clicking on the sourced article and finding out you wrote it too lol. However, like you state in the article:
"Coi is a busy establishment, so Mr. Patterson does not look to OpenTable to bring in customers. He is concerned only with making the customer’s experience as enjoyable as possible. "
This current article that implores OpenTable to enroll in more customers seems contrary to what an actual Restaurant owner has told you and what restaurant owners are likely telling OpenTable in meetings.
Also as stated in not so many words in the aforementioned article, that the more customers that a restaurant brings in, the more the OpenTable makes. It is up to the business to entice customers, OpenTable merely gives an alternative method of booking that captures analytics.
Furthermore, the analytics captured are for companies that have efficieny and maximizing output as a goal, not companies that are one missed check away from closing its doors. This is because the data that is valuable to restaurants from OpenTable are trends that can be tackled over the long term.
To me it makes sense then, to upgrade your B2B portal and tools instead of the consumer portion of the market.
Energy Prices Are Beginning To Weigh On The Market [View article]
The analysis of the $SPX chart seems forced at best. Two high volume days in December does not equate to higher trending volume in December vs January. While January is not showing the volume we would like to see in a breakout , it is not the type of volume that you can make any deductions about either....
good article. I think that the online experience is still hard for both students and prospective employers to grasp. For students, when dropping out of class = not visiting a website, and for employers, they are unsure whether the students are only good 'in theory'
Daily State Of The Markets: It's Sooo Tempting [View article]
"...the money made from a "subpar" rally spends just as easily as the money made from a stellar bull move up or a good short in a bear market."
Great article and love this quote. Reminds me of the arguments investors used to have about traders only catching 'small parts' of rallies instead of the 10-year pull.

lol I wouldn't say dramatically but yeah, he is underperforming
FWIW, I think the Street Authority Team is making a step in the right direction by showing clear results for users to gauge analysts actual skill, whereas most people seem to cite their winning posts and conveniently forget the calls that were wrong in future posts.
