  • House Price-To-Rent Ratios In Major U.S. Markets [View article]
I like your work, but would take issue with the price being used as the only cost of ownership - property taxes, insurance, HOA fees, maintenance, capital improvements (amortized), etc need to be included. Then there is interest which you mention.
Looked at another way, the ratio isn't like P/E but rather like P/revenue.

  • From $16 To $60? Where's The Magic Wand For Caesars? [View article]
I appreciate the operating analysis, but the holding company Caesar's Entertainment Corp has already split the company's assets into 3 separate entities - CEOC, CGP and CERP. Unless the courts declare those transactions fraudulent, there is no point in looking at all the properties together anymore.

Thanks for the article. I think sell-off now overdone - NY funds now yielding mid-6s, which is equivalent to taxable 10%+ if you're paying NY state (and possibly city) tax. Obviously interest rate risk there, but that applies to the entire Bernanke economy too.

Thanks. I think HLF is just in the investments line - the $2.6bn.

Anyone know why he needs $200m more cash when there is over $1bn in cash sitting there, as well as cheap funds from brokers? Thanks.
