  • Sears Holdings: A Turnaround Is Unlikely [View article]
Book value is meaningless, what matters is what you can sell the property for. Everybody knows everything Sears has is for sale. That makes the job of selling off these properties that much tougher. Lampert had a chance to sell the real estate and transform $SHLD, he missed his opportunity.

  • Aflac: With Monster Fundamentals, What's Not To Love? [View article]
I agree. It's the 2nd lowest yielding stock in my portfolio. But it has a ton of room to grow, is a dividend aristocrat, share repurchase programs has significantly reduced outstanding share count, and the incredible rise in EPS should continue.

  • Aflac: With Monster Fundamentals, What's Not To Love? [View article]
Even at today's price, it's trading at a significant discount to it's historical PE average. I bought in post-Fukushima, and have been DRIP'ing ever since. If I'm lucky, Aflac will be a considerable portion of my portfolio for the next 40-50 years. Eventually, rates will rise, be it a year from now or 5 years from now, and Aflac will benefit immensely.

Bruce is stuck in a losing position. You, like him, have to try to pump it up, because you're both in the red. Sorry Charlie, Bruce's investment hasn't been fruitful. The numbers don't lie. More billions fled ESL and Fairholme than Bruce and Eddie have combined. Which means what? The smart ones have left the dummies holding the bag!

  • Is The End Of Dividend Investing Coming? [View article]
I believe that long term, dividend investing will remain very popular. Any short term reaction should not raise that much concern for those that are long term investors.

$ACMP knows contracts. $CHK was very desperate at that point in time. No matter what, $ACMP will profit, and that's why I'm very long $ACMP.
