  • Force Friday delivers for toy makers [View news story]
Singing Machine (SMDM) is now really worth checking out. They've taken steps to market, not just their product, but their PPS. This belongs in the toy lover's portfolio, where the shares are still down at a mere 19 cents, and often goes untraded for days at a time.

  • China worries weigh heavily on world markets [View news story]
As I look at the intricacies involved in the manufacture of computers and myriad other appliances and mechanisms I own which China made for our market, I reflect that when we decided to ditch them for "made in America" supremacy, we left behind thousands of factories with now useless jigs, gauges and templates sitting idle, leading to thousands being put out of work. We used China as our "working class" so we didn't have to. Is it any wonder that China is in this mess? Do we have a moral obligation to at least sympathize with their current troubles? I feel that we are partly responsible. How much partly I don't know.

  • SMDM: A Profitable Micro-cap Growing Revenues While Trading At Just 5 Times Trailing Earnings And 30% Of Trailing Revenue [View instapost]
I believe what this company lacks is the cash to promote what they sell. The video on their website shows off the new "Home", an unobtrusive addition to everybody's home theater system. It should be seen in television commercials everywhere. If the public became persuaded that singing is something everybody could and should do, not just at parties, this stock would soar. Personally, I am holding this for a $1 stock, and a Nasdaq listing. Perhaps we have to wait for the company to be bought by an entity with a little imagination. Their name alone is very valuable.

  • The toy industry ended the year with an uptick as late holiday sales helped the sector bring in $16.5B in revenue, down just a bit down from the $16.6B recorded in 2011. With domestic sales gains hard to come by, toy makers Hasbro (HAS +0.9%) and Mattel (MAT +0.6%) continue to look to global markets for growth or by creating new products which interact with mobile devices. LeapFrog (LF +1.6%) ended the year with 3 of the 4 hottest sellers. [View news story]
I'm looking at SMDM, Singing Machine. I mean, what's not to like? They came up with a perfect home version at the right price for gift giving. The spread is huge, currently around 8 cents bid to 14 cents asked, and little or no volume. Earnings should be out before the end of the month, and it's a turn-around story. So I'd say it's the tip of the week.

SMDM. How's this for thin? Closed today at .081.
.08 bid, .13 asked.Throw in a market order for just 100 shares. It will cost you (at today's .08 cents) 8 dollars plus commission, and you will almost double the price, just like that! Tommy Cooper would be proud. LOL!

I've been an active trader for 52 years, following charts. I believe that charts give you a road map, for some of the stocks anyway. However, they're not reliable anymore, with all the electronic manipulation going on these days. I don't think technical analysis works any more. It's full of traps for the bull and the bear. Everything you do will be a minority opinion, and then not always! Goodbye Mr. Dow, goodbye Mr. Granville! Hello Mr. Computer! Hello Mr. MM.
