      Felix,

That was the worst post you ever did. I'm glad other readers are showing disgust to your lack of knowledge. It's clearly evident form your post that you are either a) jealous, b) didn't do enough research or c) both a & b.

    • A Look at Emerging Markets: Eye on Turkey [view article]
You have failed to touch on why the ETF is so volatile and an issue without which analysis is incomplete- the currency. The ETF's volatility has largely due to the volatility in the Turkish Lira. That said, I'm pro-Turkey, especially their food sector. Companies are profitable, de-levering and trading at lower multiples vs. European counterparts. Also, recently EU removed taxes on exports from Turkey to the union, which should further bolster the food exports.

WMT is looking to enter Turkey too + one of Templeton's Emerging Market funds took a 10% stake in KOC Holding's food division. Plus, another issue you didn't mention, the country's aim to get into EU, which has attracted substantial FDI, and the AKP will try to further satisfy the requirements.

Long Turkey for me, but I prefer pure plays. Y

    • Are REITs Really a Bargain? [view article]
IMO- the way to trade REITS is to match their yields with those on the risk-free securities. When REITS are yielding at least 4% higher than risk-free rate, its'a good time to get in. Back in 2001, the REITS yielded close to 6-8% and risk-free rate was 1-2%. Now the gap is a lot smaller and in some cases non-existent. Jul 20 05:33 AM
    • What If Facebook Can’t Sell Any Ads? [view article]
Facebook, in % terms, generates a lot more cash flow and revenues than its peers MySpace. Furthermore, it has a higher visitor frequency, and from my personal experience is much better than other social networking platforms.

Its foolhardy to think they are worth less than US$ 1.5 billion. I expect them to go public.

    • A Close Look At Google's Earnings [view article]
      Anand-

For every company PE eventually contracts. However, GOOG has lots of growth. Just read their conf. call and you'll see management talking about possibilities in BRIC and more. They are spending lots of money to gain exposure in all key markets, especially India and China, which still have TONS of growth left.

Why would you want them to buyback? Buybacks are for companies who don't have growth! For google that wouldn't be an effective utilization of cash! No way! They sell at 28ish times earnings and according to the leading internet research firm online advertising can easily growth 30% for the next five years! Google is undervalued my friend. I have 20 shares since it was 200, I'm not going to sell! Each time it goes up 50, I buy 20 more. :) You should too.

      Sufiy-

Again, FCF and margins are falling because they are spending lots to growth the company. That should be expected, however, they still have good margins and more importantly the market share! MSN Live and Panorama won't be much of a dent in their growth since they are very innovative and I don't see why fund managers won't pay up to 35 times in 08 earnings at least.

Hope this was helpful! Thanks for reading!

    • PS3, XBox or Wii: Pros and Cons of Gaming Consoles [view article]
"I find it hard to believe that Sony have pumped all their money into giving you the highest quality Blue-Ray machine before the technology has even taken off!"

Marcus- How can you say its not a high-tech Blue-ray? I mean with each gadget/product of such kind there are always updates. The first ipod wasn't the greatest, it didn't work with Windows (I think) but soon AAPL figured it out and now its a big hit.

You maybe right about the blue-ray not being of the highest quality, I just think like any new technology there are going to be updates along the way.

      Carl,

You've mentioned an excellent point & I concur with you on Sony's short-term loss and their pro-activeness when it comes to PS3 and Blue-ray.

Would it be ok with you if I quoted what you said on my blog? I'll reference your name and if you've got a blog let me know.

      Good stuff. Y

      Carl,

      Interesting points.

"Do you think that they do this just to piss you off? Get a grip."

Carl I never said they do this to piss me or any consumers off. I'm just conveying an emotion I feel, irrespective of anyone else, though I can sure bet that a lot of consumers are angry, I mean PS3 fans, for the delay. I'm sure management didn't do it on purpose, why would they? Its not in their best interest.

"I do fear for Sony slightly by missing out on the Christmas sales"

That is exactly my point. PS3 maybe a great product but its no good if consumers can't have it. Hence Xbox and Wii will have the bulk of sales for this x-mas.
