  • While long-term damage from the BP spill is "unknowable" only three months after the blowout, it looks increasingly like the "greater environmental catastrophe in U.S. history" talk was exaggerated. Or is it a government cover-up?  [View news story]
It is a combination of over-exaggeration, luck, government bs such as microbes eating oil, oil evaporating that has helped BP avoid bankruptcy.

  • Why We'll See $300 Oil by 2020 [View article]
Here is why $300 oil will not be realistic. Once oil prices hit the $120 mark, it will generate enough incentive to develop alternatives form of energy( increase usage of corn for fuel, etc.), will drive down the demand for oil.

  • Why Ford Could Double in Three Years [View article]
Well to keep things in perspective and in moderate speaking voice,
Ford was in the best shape out of the Big 3. And I wouldn't discount
the Honda and Toyota, they have tough competition and they are trying to establish growth against Toyota and Honda, while moving away from their main edge, trucks and SUVs.

Ford's CEO, Alan Mulally is pure gold, I agree. But they have a tough road ahead of them. Overseas growth is the answer.

  • Buy Solid Solar Players on Dips as Sun Shines Bright on Sector [View article]
Personally, from a long-term perspective. I am looking at clean energy to lead the global economy. This is exactly what we need to boost growth (in the past automobiles, processing chips, etc...)

If I were to pick for a long-term investment it would be YGE, the funding received from the Chinese gov't puts them at an almost unfair advantage, especially when there is so much interest in clean energy along with China's deep pockets.
