Just very frustrating. I can't get any information on 10.3 through Verizon and the fact is every day I miss another moment with a crappy camera. Passport is to big for me unfortunately. Thanks for the advice gout attack!

  • BlackBerry: A Classic Turnaround Story [View article]
As I sit here at a place called the dirty truth in northampton, Massachusetts I've decided to buy an iPhone. I love my z10 but the pictures quality is killing me and I have babies. I cannot deal with the horrible camera anymore And With no talk of a future all touch I'm packing it in. Should blackberry decide to go that route again I'll check them out. Sorry BlackBerry...still pulling for you

this is all very exciting, but it would be nice if JC put another all-touch on the horizon. I'm not a keyboard guy, but love the OS. have had the z10 since its launch and am eligible for an upgrade through Verizon. hoping/praying some news come out for a new high end all-touch

  • BlackBerry Takes A New Approach To Marketing [View article]
"Since that day the device has received a huge amount of press coverage"

I live in NY and while there may be some discussion online there is nothing mentioned by any TV commentators. Bloomberg West, a technology show, which one would expect to cover these types of things pretty much ignores BB.

I'm pulling for them so hoping for some effective marketing for these new products.

  • BlackBerry Is Now An Obvious Buyout Target, And 4 Other Reasons Not To Worry About The Apple/IBM Deal [View article]
This a bit ridiculous. Just because IBM and apple are working together doesn't mean all companies will buy these products. There is a cost factor here and with companies looking to keep a lid on costs why would they spend all their money filling apple's coffers. There are other options. IBM hasn't exactly been knocking it out of the park lately with their service offerings either.

  • Fruit Fight: BlackBerry And Apple Going Head To Head In September And October [View article]
Has anyone seen the leaked images of the Windemere phone? While all I've seen is negative comments (some of which i have to agree) I'm covinced this has got to be the phone related to the NanHealth deal - phone for the healthcare industry. Why else would they invest in a squarish phone with high end resolution specs? Seems ideal for the healthcare industry and reviewing images and such. No one else seems to have considered this so was curious if anyone else thought the same?

  • The Important Part Of BlackBerry's Earnings [View article]
Agree with Guest eh. My z10 is great especially with 10.2 and ability to use android apps such as Pandora and bloomberg. I believe the z3 will be a success in emerging markets.

What I would like to know more about is the Qnx cloud services and if they would consider a service on the consumer side as well. This along with how they can monetize Qnx through other business areas would be interesting to hear about.

  • BlackBerry: John Chen Can Use Sybase Experience To Increase Enterprise Sales [View article]
I respectfully disagree with your comment. The marketing had much to do with their current problems which in turn resulted in developers not devoting time to creating native apps. I totally get it - why devote time and money to creating native apps for a new phone that is not selling. I'm not much of an app guy to begin with so for me it was mainly the quality of the phone. I'm very happy with the z10 for many reasons and time after time people have asked what kind of phone I carry. When told it is a new BB the reaction is always something like I didn't even realize they had a new phone or something to that effect. The bottom line is their marketing was almost non-existent and whatever marketing they achieved was garbage. Alicia Keys was a joke and a waste of money. The management just simply screwed everything up. The BB10 phones are not as terrible as many people have described for a new OS. It is a very good phone and actually very intuitive and will probably get better over time now that Chen is leading the way. I think it is in everyone's interest to have 3-4 viable ecosystems out there. Competition is good for everyone in the end.

  • Where Will The New BlackBerry Be In 2014? [View article]
After reading some of the comments on selling the z10 for a buck or free I think this might be a smart move at least in the short term. My feeling is take the hit this year into next but at least get the BB10 OS out there. Once developers see people are buying the phones they may considered creating native apps for BB10. In the meantime live off the enterprise revenue in the hopes that a year or 2 from now BB comes back with a stud phone that is packed with apps designed for it. Just a thought...welcome any feedback whether pos or neg.

  • BlackBerry reportedly shot down breakup offers [View news story]
They should collaborate with IBM and integrate Watson in their phones. If that happens game over Apple, Google, Samsung, etc

    My two cents
