  • Pictures of Nokia's (NOK +1.4%) rumored EOS phone - a Lumia device said to feature a 41MP image sensor similar to that of the Symbian-based 808 PureView - have leaked. Like the 808, the EOS has a giant, protruding, camera module on its back, replete with a large flash. In-line with a May report, it also appears to have a polycarbonate body and a ~4.5" display. Sources tell The Verge the pictures are of "genuine engineering samples," that Nokia is expected to launch the device in July, and that AT&T (T) will exclusively sell it in the U.S.  [View news story]

  • Nokia Upgrades Will Create More Upside  [View article]
I beg to differ... I'm from India and have been waiting patiently for the L920 to release here... Finally released a couple of days back and you should have been here in person to see the number of people inquiring about it at the local stores... Even if those dont convert into actual sales, atleast NOK is grabbing the mindshare, which is precisely what they need right now... Regarding affordability, lots of EMI options are given here... So when folks here can afford to buy icrap 5 and samdung GSIII, 920 should be taken at the same length as well... Brand NOKIA is still strong here... People still look back and keep the Nokia hardware as a benchmark and ask people with other handsets: "Is your phone able to take this kind of a fall on the road?" :D ... I sure can bet the famed GSIII surely would not be able to...
