  • The Outlook For The Indian Rupee [View article]
I am of the opinion that Indian rupee will depreciate to Rs 70 for a dollar by the end of next year - the erosion will start once the charisma regarding the new government fades out and the reality of Indian economy starts striking in. • Is A Strong Economy With Weak Housing Data An Oxymoron? [View article]
It is also important to remember that the interest rate has only one way to go - up north. That will keep the housing sector horizontal for a long time. It is even possible that the sector my go down. By keeping the interest rate low, the Federal is stretching the recession - the real capitalism is not at work whenever sick sectors are bailed out. The economy might have started showing some vital signs of coming back if only the banks and the housing sectors had not been bailed out.
