  • Smartphone Entry Barriers Have Ceased To Exist. Welcome To The Smartphone 2.0 Era [View article]
This is the way that I see it: (time to do the math – follow along)

    63 M Population of UK
    35 M Population of Canada
    8 M Population of UAE

106 M Population of where Z10 was launched (1 phone only)

World population = 6.98B = 1.5% of the world population where the z10 was available.

Estimate of Z10 sold in the month of February: 300,000
    Time frame: Under 4 weeks

If the Z10 was launched world wide, based on the same ratio, there would have been 20 Millions Z10 sold in 1 month. = 60 Million Z10 in a quarter.

Therefore the analyst that called BBRY to sell 1.75M in under 4 weeks is really saying: BBRY should have sold 116M phones if it launched worldwide in February.

    That's awesome !!!!.

  • More on BlackBerry: Pac Crest's James Faucette, who has been bearish for a while, says checks indicate Feb. quarter Z10 shipments are in the 275K-325K range, below a consensus of 1M. He also forecasts just 1M-1.5M shipments for the May quarter, and thinks the Z10 is cannibalizing Bold 9900 sales. "There is no line of sight to profitability," Faucette declares. Meanwhile, Jefferies' Peter Misek remains bullish, and claims European and Middle Eastern Z10 launches have gone well. [View news story]

  • BlackBerry (BBRY -2.8%) slumps after S&P's James Moorman cuts his FY13-15 estimates while reiterating a Sell. He's worried about the fact Sprint (not the most enterprise-focused U.S. carrier) isn't supporting the Z10, and about the impact of rival spring/summer phone launches. Yesterday, HTC announced the One, its new flagship Android model, and Samsung will reportedly announce the Galaxy S IV on March 14. BlackBerry's newfound volatility has led its beta to spike to 1.65. • BlackBerry Success: More Than Meets The Eye [View article]
In Canada, sales have been strong with many stores reporting the device has been sold out. Some locations of Bell Canada retail stores have indicated sales have been stronger for the Z10, than the iPhone 5 at its product launch.

    That says it all, right?

  • BlackBerry 10: It's Shiny, It's New, But Will It Sell? [View article]
    I disagree with the author.
He is long Apple, so he is cheering for Apple.
It only makes sense for him to be negative about BBRY.

Everyone who sees my Z10 in action, tells me they are going to go get one. And they do.

The Z10 is selling out in all countries so far : UK, Canada, and I just heard that pre-orders in the UAE are at record levels ( these go on sale this Sunday )

All these records are taking place, and BBRY has not even brought their loving KeyBoard into the market for their 80 million subscribers to purchase.

Therefore : BBRY - STRONG BUY
    Therefore : APPL - HOLD

Sell RIMM? lol ... it is still trading under it's book value. The next $10/per share is pure gravy.

Investors are starting to wake up and finally realized that analysts and the media have their own agenda when it comes to reporting on stocks. I have witnessed nothing but dumb trading on RIMM shares over the past year. RIMM shares SHOULD HAVE NEVER FALLEN BELOW BOOK VALUE (approximately $20.00/ share)

Even now, 2 analysts have a target price of $5.00 per share which is less then what the company has in cash.

9 other analyst has a target price of less then what the company has in cash plus inventory.

If you ask me, they do not make much sense and should be investigated.

I'm glad investors have finally realized that they are no longer going to be played by the media and corrupt analysts.

With a product launch coming that is an industry game changer, the current share price should not be anything less then $38.00 per share.
