General Motors (GM) says sales in China rose 15% to 261,860 units in April. Broken up by the automaker's joint ventures, sales at SAIC Motor rose 29% to 121,559 units to offset a minor 0.3% decline to 5,124 units for FAW Group. (Previous: GM to invest big in China) [View news story]

GM (GM) has fired back at a WSJ op-ed calling the carmaker "General Tso Motors," saying that it plans to invest $16B in the U.S. through 2016. That would add to the $8.5B spent since 2009 and would be well above the $11B that GM and its joint ventures plan to invest in China over the next three years. In April, sales of vehicles from GM and its JVs climbed 15.3% on year to 261,870, accelerating from a rise of 12.6% in March. [View news story]

The point is you say is, "to show that GM is losing quite a bit of money on each Volt". You have not proven anything except that you don't like GM. People like you would be better off stating facts instead of opinions.

General Motors (GM) CEO Dan Akerson backs the automaker's commitment to Europe during a press conference in Germany. The exec focused on the €4B ($5.22B) the company will invest in the region by 2016 over the ongoing efforts to close plants and trim labor costs. The big picture: There's no getting around the fact that Europe is set to continue to drag down global results for the automaker and temper enthusiasm over strong U.S. sales trends, but by appearance GM is pushing the right buttons to stem the bleeding.
