  • Apple: A Few Signs Of Trouble [View article]
Apple is the most popular brand in the world. Finally coming out with more products in different price ranges while maintaining quality and service I can see Apple stock value increase over the next 12 months.

I do not hold any Apple stock.

  • Can Apple Succeed Balancing Cheap With Premium? [View article]
The key is to get the lower income group to buy into the Apple brand with the C model....opening the door to the "Apple Experience".

Later if they move into the middle class they will most likely move to
    the more expensive Apple phones.

Phones are a prestige item like walking with a Starbucks coffee
rather than a McDonalds...even though in some taste tests McDonalds coffee rated tops.

  • BlackBerry: Shut It Down [View article]
Too early to bury BB. Keep an eye on the steps they take in 2013 to improve their brand: simplify the software, offer phones at 4 different
price levels. They should make a deal with the telecoms to offer a one month trial for $25.

  • BlackBerry: Time For Longs To Wave The White Flag? [View article]
I was about to sell my Bbry shares when the CEO's for India and the UK guit but the "due diligence" on sales etc made me hold on. Ugg.
Got up at 5AM PT to hear the quarter report but my links failed. So I went to Nasdaq and heard the stock had fallen to $13 by the time my sale order went through I got $11. This whole thing has has been a bad Movie. i realize the stock market for the average Joe is a suckers game. On the other hand my DOLLARAMA stock went up 25% in the last 4 months. Hmmm.

PS Did some shopping at yesterday at Costco in Vancouver: BB is still running 2nd or third in sales at the cellphone booth. But they could be Jiving me too.

  • BlackBerry: So You Think This Is Bad? [View article]

There was nothing in the quarterly report to cause the stock to drop
30 percent. Its the Wall Street hustlers and BB's lack of transparency
which sticks in my craw. BB still has a year to gain respect from investors...I think they will..maybe without Heins at the controls.
Strike One. I'll be back when they start hitting.

  • BlackBerry (BBRY -5.2%) dives below $10 as investors continue jumping ship in response to the company's FQ1 miss and related hardware/services shortfalls. Shares are now down 33% from Thursday's close. TD Securities (Hold) defends BlackBerry a bit, noting Asia-Pac subs grew 29% Y/Y in FQ1 even as total subs fell by 4M Q/Q, and declaring it "seems early to sound the death knell of BB10 five months in and with the Q5 yet to launch." (downgrades: I, II[View news story]
I will never again invest in a company without transparency.
Finding out quarterly how a company is doing will not cut it.

    Bbry loser.

Blackberry to me now is like an old girlfriend who kept the truth from me. It's over. Poorer buy wiser.

  • BlackBerry - Where To From Here? [View article]
Here is how it works. Buy a 100,000 shares to hold until you are ready to dump. Also borrow a 100,000 shares on the rise and promptly sale them. At the opportune time release a bearish report and sell your 100,000 shares you bought causing a panic sale bringing the stock crashing. Now pay for your borrowed shares.

  • Throwing In The Towel On My BlackBerry Shares - Part 2 [View article]
Hard facts will overcome the false perception created by con-artists,
eventually. If you have done due diligence and you believe:

Blackberry has something new or better to offer, now and in the future, and they are strong enough to handle adversity then why the hell sell your

The telemedia giants want a strong third phone with a different OS to offer other than Android and Apple phone. Its not MS its BB.

    At BEST BUY Canada
Blackberry has displays in the stores that are second to none with FULL table displays. MS has one or two units hidden among the other phones.

I don't expect BB shares to be $16 or higher even if the news Friday morning is good. I hope I am wrong and the squeeze starts.
    In for the long haul.

  • BlackBerry Q1 Earnings: The Devil Will Be In The Details [View article]
BB is just peeking through the US door at the moment. I expect the door will open wide in November/December with some effective
holiday advertising and promotion which at the moment is minimal now.

  • The Latest StatCounter Data Suggest BlackBerry Will Beat On The Quarter [View article]
Just did another round of the phone stores
in Vancouver yesterday. "Guestamates" by sales staff on BB sales. Costco: 2nd or 3rd place.
Best Buy: 3rd, Some dealers like London Drugs have BB in fourth
place. Most of the telecom stores are vague on sales as per instructions from managers. Good table displays of BB but very few live BB phones to try however. Customers are told to ask a salesperson to demonstrate the phone..uggg! Apple and Samsung phones are live to try. Windows phones are hard to find anywhere in the stores and on advertising media.

    Long on Bbry

PS The shorts have written their bearish attack for Friday. They just have to fill in the spaces.

  • "I can say sales of the Galaxy S4 smartphone are fine," says Samsung (SSNLF.PK) co-CEO Shin Jong-kyun in response to a JPMorgan report that did a number on Samsung shares. But he doesn't appear to refute the report's claim (based on checks) that Samsung has significantly cut S4 build orders; others have issued similar reports since. Jong-kyun also reiterates (previous) Samsung has no intention of joining HTC in settling with Apple (AAPL -1.5%). "Patent disputes against Apple will be [continued]." [View news story]
According to Canada's top selling "TIME" like magazine called
"MACLEANS" Apple is number one in sales in Canada, BB number two and
Samsung, totaling all their phones, is number three. This report was issued two days ago and is based on a statistical number counting.
Yes I know, hard to believe. I mentioned this in SeekingAlpha earlier.
I'll follow up with this when I find the article again.

BB and Samsung have full table displays at Best Buy in Vancouver BC. Microsoft has two phones on display. Most small stores do not have live BB display phones. You have to ask for a demo.

In Canada its Apple first, BB second and Samsung third in sales
according to MACLEANS, Canada's national magazine in an article published two days ago.
