Lexmark Takes Hit In Printer Ink Price War [View article]
Good to see the Xerox lower ink cartrige prices having some effect. Too bad HP doesn't seem to grasp the real problem. Ink cartridges that cost $30 and dry up before 30% empty are the problem. I for one will not buy another ink jet printer. The printing costs are way too high when you may only print out 2-3 pages per week. The color is nice but it seems to dry up faster than the black ink. I am tired of paying these prices for ink jet cartridges and not getting my money's worth. Next printer will be a laser printer, by my calculations, a toner cartridge will last 3-5 years. My only worry is to make sure I have a spare toner cartridge because my model will be obsolete by time I need to replace it. I also will only need to power up the printer when I need it.
