I have been in the stock market since 1989. I have been trading and investing on my own since then. I have established a website for people that are serious traders and investors. We have a bulltetin board that we use for information and not for jibbersih on how your stock is going to the moon because you own it. We are always looking for factual information. Rumor is fine as long as we do not find you are spreading rumors that are always not coming true.
Dan Rosenblum is the writer and editor of the Sharkbiotech.com (http://www.sharkbiotech.com) newsletter. His combination of a background in medical sales and as a full time trader for the last ten years give him a unique prospective in how to navigate the treaterous waters that is the biotech sector. He lives in New York with his wife and five children.
I started following the stock market as a freshman in high school. Since then, my interest in the stock market has evolved into a passion of mine, something that I plan on turning into a great career.
For the most part, I am self-taught via books, blogs, and real-life experiences. I have been trading real money for almost 4 years now. I trade primarily stocks and stock options, with an average holding time anywhere from a day to a week. All of my trades revolve around technical analysis, as timing is nearly everything these days. I do follow market fundamentals, but because my holding periods are often very short, such views often take the backseat in my trading, serving more as a general snapshot of market trends than anything else. I always use stop losses. And only "losers average losers," as iconic trader Paul Tudor Jones famously has posted above his office desk.
I am 21 and will be interning at SMB Trading in NYC this summer. My goal is to end up on a trading desk somewhere on Wall Street after I graduate. When I'm not trading, I can be found snowboarding, playing golf, and traveling to Indio, CA for the Coachella music festival, those three epic days in April.

On the Road from Samaria
When they manipulated the stock market,
I remained silent;
I was making money and felt superior to the crowd.
When they silenced their critics,
I remained silent;
I was self-righteous and felt they got what they deserved.
When they came for the blue collar workers,
I did not speak out;
I enjoyed my superior social status and the cheap consumer goods.
When they came for my neighbor's possessions
I remained silent;
I was afraid and jealous and glad to see him brought down.
When they grew richer and more powerful
I accepted their lies in silence;
I wanted to gain their favor and be one of them.
When they came for me,
and sent me to a camp as a useless eater
I reaped what I had sown.
On the Road from Samaria, Jesse

Jeff is the publisher of the "Trade in the Zone" newsletter and Trade in the Zone Blog (http://www.tradeinthezone.com/). Jeff has been trading and educating investors for 20 years. He has given lectures at the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University, taught night courses for adults at area high schools and has been interviewed by a local financial radio show. No matter what the market does in any given year (up 15%, down 15% or flat), there are dozens and dozens of stocks that go up 100%+ per year. His job is to find these new stocks and help people make more money than they ever thought possible. For more expensive stocks, he likes to use call options (what he calls POWER PLAYS) to get the most bang for the buck while defining the risk. His focus is on swing trades (he wants dollars, not dimes).

Our research draws its market bias from a combo of Fundamental and Technical evidence. Economic and earning trends are matched against our analysis of price and volume charts, giving us an indication of how friendly or unfriendly the market is behaving.
The goal is to identify top growth stocks primed to breakout of technical bases.
This is active trading, not investing. Our holding periods can last a day to months.
When the market is happy, we're buying top-ranked growth stocks picked for having a number of superior financial metrics that include: top earnings and sales, return on equity (ROE), institutional sponsorship and top-performing industries among others.
We use patterns like the cup-and-handle and other basing patterns to measure our entry and exit points appropriately.
When the market is sad, or prone to further selling, we're relying more on technical analysis as we get flexible with short-term trades driven by volatility.
The Growth Stock Report started in 2003 as a way to share our analysis and keep it honest under the scrutiny of the public.

TheMacroTrader.com is a site devoted to Global Macro and Multi-strategy Trading. Our philosophy on Macro Trading is that we are trying to be in the best risk to reward situations possible anywhere in anything. Instead of being married to value stocks, small-cap stocks, emerging market bonds, real estate, etc. we can go where we see the greatest opportunity or as some might say to “go where the money is.”
