  • 3 Reasons Why I Think Apple Is Going To Increase Its Payout Next Quarter [View article]
The best & most proper way to increase stockholder's equity would be
    1. expand share buy back plan.
    2. increase the dividend to bring the company into those that would to consider Apple a dividend stock.
    3. provide a special dividend before the end of this year. To avoid Hussein's deadly tax plan for 2013.
    4. split the stock 10 to 1; allowing normal stock buyers to purchase Apple stock in complete lots & which would allow the company entree into the S & P.

Problem is: I not sure upper management is concerned with "Shareholder Equity".
It surely is not their primary concern.

  • The Case For Apple's Special Dividend [View article]
Special div. would be great for the Apple investor ( I am one of those), but the Apple investor does not appear to be their concern. Having to much cash (understand they have it in low interest gov't bonds) does not appear to concern Apple management. I would like to see the monies history as it has build up. What gains has Apple management achieved with it in the last 3 years.

  • Apple's Fiscal 2013: Facts, Figures, Predictions [View article]
Don't believe all you see in the news or from this printed media. The Iphone 5 does not need fixing. Purchased 4 last week, & they are great. Zero problems. By far the fastest, clearest, best sound of all that I saw.

  • Enough About Apple [View article]
Am long AAPL, in stocks, calls for Feb & did add to my positions when it got to the $530 range (& am expecting another improving quarter announcement in later Jan.) That said, I agree with your basic thinking that no company can continually improve there position. That someone will bring something of equal or better quality at a lower price in the future. I expect in 2013 to see Apple bring a number of new products & improvement to their present line; so the upward march will continue for a number of quarters. My thinking is to sell out in late 2013, hopefully in the $750.+ range & see just what you are predicting. I am a personal user of the products, have had a great ride with Apple, but will not be in the stock when the tide as turned.

Only CSCO has a has a chance for a 25% gain in 2013. They have made moves in 2012 which "may" create upward movement.

  • Investors Don't Understand Apple's Math - A Mistake [View article]
splitting the stock (about 10 to 1) is a logical move that Apple could make for a number of reasons. This would allow them a place on the DOW, give the smaller investor a change to be a aapl stock owner, provide a seaming lest volatile price swings, and eliminate stock manipulators. Logic is not always the nature of business.

  • Oh Apple, About That 'Win' You Thought You Got... [View article]
Do you truly believe that Apple is going to pay Samsung an additional $4.00 per unit on 200m phone? We live in a free world market today. Apple will be replacing Samsung with in the month. Maybe 15m phone with the increased price. Apple can live with that. There is dumb and there is ready dumb. Some of the dumb ones write.

Don't know that Samsung made a stupid arrogant decision, but they made a poor decision. Apple will find a new supplier. Samsung will be losing a large volume account. Neither company will gain from court battles or vindictive pricing.

  • Buy Apple On January 18 [View article]
You did not state your opinion on call orders for after Jan. 2013. If call option are made now for Feb or Mar options one can make profit on the up swing after the 1st aapl profit statement in Jan. (based on your article & my opinion) But if you wait and the price start to go up before Jan figures declaration, you will not see the same gain purchasing waiting until Jan.

  • The iPhone 5 is still supply-constrained at U.S. Apple Stores, says Piper's Gene Munster after polling 70 of them. He also found ongoing shortages at AT&T and Verizon, though Sprint's situation is said to be improving. Those comments are probably contributing to today's Apple (AAPL -2.7%) selloff, especially since Munster's Oct. 4 report on shortages proved accurate. On a more positive note, Munster's poll of 730 U.S. consumers found 55% of those planning to buy a smartphone indicating they want an iPhone 5. [View news story]
"Supply constraints" is a big word for poor planning. I am very long Apple & have loss thousands of paper profit in the last 4 months, plus have just purchased Feb & Mar 2013 calls at 2:50pm today. So I am "a believer", a Apple follower, but if management were doing their job, we would not be seeing this continued down turn.
As I see it, it is a great opportunity; if Apple will get the product out, before additional market is lost.

  • An Options Play For The Upcoming Apple Earnings Announcement [View article]
Have uses a couple of your option recommendations before (with success) One small problem that I find with your pub's is that your listing of your stockbroker's orders is too small to read. You have offered a "click to enlarge but it does not work."

  • Is Apple Expensive At 5x Cash Holdings? [View article]
They never went broke, but if the money is not wisely invested, stockholders best interest are not being held. Most of us stockholders would prefer seeing a goodly portion of that money distributed to stockholder and/or properly invested. (not being in held in cash) (I do not believe it is just being held in cash.)

  • Is Apple Expensive At 5x Cash Holdings? [View article]
To compare brick & mortar, real estate, etc. following companies to Apple or any modern tech business is not realize. Apple has made more money (& has the potential to obtain much more in the foreseeable short term future) than any traditional company listed on either Nasdaq or NYSX. No company in history has done as well; so they are not over valued. That said, "the latest & greatest " maybe just around the corner-- & possibility of it not being a Apple product. Sooo any prudent investor must remain diligent is surveying their holding. Apple may lose that "in" thing, but if the China mobile distribution is a reality in the near future, your statement that Apples valve is only $650, you certainty will be proven wrong. Why don't we recheck our thinking after Jan. sales & profit figures are released. So, sometime I believe writers just wish to creat ; BUT do not believe what they say.

  • The Apple Confusion [View article]
don't expect the AAPL Oct. quarter to look great (too little New product to sell), but after the Jan. figureswith lots of new product to sell; $1000 is within bounds. (If there is a China Mobile agreement, $1250. is possible) I too am very long AAPL, with a well over 100% gain in the last 12 months, mostly in calls after the 2nd quarter 2012 big pop. believe we will see the same again on Feb. 13 calls after Jan sales/profit announcements in later Jan. I am already set, (buying Feb 715. call last week when AAPL was at $630.) If I am wrong, the world will not end, but it will hurt .

  • Apple (AAPL) sold a relatively healthy 27M iPhones in the September quarter due to strong initial sales for the iPhone 5, estimates Sterne Agee's Shaw Wu. Wu also notes iPhone 5 shipping times remain at 3-4 weeks for Apple's online store, and claims yields have improved for the in-cell touch panels considered responsible for supply shortages - in-cell supplier Sharp recently suggested as much. (yesterday[View news story]
apparently there is a large part of the apple investors who are presently unaware of the internet usage charges that some of the 1st users are having. This I believe is the real problem with Iphone 5. This must be corrected before this becomes a insurmountable sells problem.
