  • Apple Share Buyback - The Numbers Talk [View article]
Good points. Also the shares being bought back will not be paying the dividend so that money saved goes to pay off the interest and principal on the notes that AAPL issued.

  • Apple's Future: Slowing Growth And Declining Margins, But The Stock Is Still A Bargain [View article]
Of course this analysis has left out new product lines, new inovations, share buybacks and acquisitions. It assumes everything remains static which I assure you will not be the case. I am sure the 73,000 employees are not sitting around doing nothing.Trading at $400 this is a gift for long term investors.

  • Apple At Year End: $600 [View article]
Brokerage charges are a non issue these days. At Fidelity I pay $7.50 a trade . If I buy 10 shares or 5000 shares I pay $7.50. As far as multiples please explain how multiples change if I only buy 10 shares or 1000 shares.

  • Buffett Has The Solution For Apple [View article]
Maybe he is using the current share price decline to use up all of the current buyback money .Then he can announce a new buyback and dividend plan. The lower the the price the shares are bought back the bigger the benefit to the long term shareholders. It's like a war you do not announce your intentions to the enemy before you act. You let them find out the hard way. Short term sufferings for long term gain. Anyway that is the way I would play it if I was in charge.

  • Buffett Has The Solution For Apple [View article]
At long last a good AAPL article on SA. I could not agree more with you. The total return approach is a good one and would put a floor on the stock while we wait for new products to be introduced. It would put the naysayers on notice " Short away and we are buyers". I also like the idea of announcing that all new cash over and above the 150B would go for buybacks and dividends. Either way something major will be done with the cash we just need to have patience.

  • Assessing Apple's Future Dividends [View article]
Fantastic investment opportunities are created in this world of instant gratificaton. Expectations that Apple was going to announce a new product ,stock split ,dividend increase etc. etc. at it annual shareholder meeting last week has caused another buying opportunity. Many false claims have been made by repondents to this article. For example "Cash flow and earnings are on a established downtrend". In reality operating cash flow for 2010,2011 and 2012 was $19B, $38B, and $51B. All the things that people expected to happen will be coming in due course. There will be a cash solution. There will be new products. Unfortunately for those without patience it will be done the Apple way and they will miss out. In the meantime I am a buyer as this bluest of blue chip stock sinks lower caused by those looking for instant gratification.

  • Outside Of The Box Logic And Why Apple Might Still Not Be A Buy [View article]
Isn't the market the conventional wisdom ? I believe it is, therefore thinking outside the box would make Apple a screaming buy at this price.
