  • More BlackBerry (BBRY -1%) execs could be on their own way out: a source tells Bloomberg the company is preparing for a pickup in executive departures as retention bonuses established a year ago expire, and Thorsten Heins sets tougher sales, subscriber growth, and product targets. Moreover, BlackBerry reportedly wants to lower headcount via attrition, given Heins considers the company's ranks too bloated in certain areas. That backs up a recent WSJ report about plans to trim middle management. U.S. sales chief Richard Piasentin was recently fired, and two other execs reportedly left on their own accord[View news story]
@ Ben, this was priceless! Yet, I feel not too many got the sarcasm! LOL. Galaxy 2 was a total rip off of an iPhone!

  • A leaked image appears to provide full specs for the BlackBerry A10 (BBRY -1.8%): the image indicates the A10 will sport Qualcomm's (QCOM) dual-core MSM8960 processor (same as the Z10), a 5" 720p display (many high-end Android phones now have 1080p displays), 16GB of storage, and an 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. BGR provided a few details about the A10 last week, while adding it's the only completely new BB10 phone set to launch in the remainder of 2013. [View news story]
Well said @ Herr Hansa! Thank you for great explanation. I've conveyed this as well to some on SA $BBRY and I have been called an idiot. What are you going to do, when people are clueless?! You can only try, oh well next. Long $BBRY

Very well written article @ Money Investor. And to think that market is placing $BBRY at a lower valuation than Group-on?! Go Figure!

You know what Mr. know, I'm gonna have to look at you comments on $NOK forum to see if you are this diligent on Nokia phones and have unbiased view.

    @Mr. know it.

The same question applies to you. Nokia's performance in the last few years is very comparable to Blackberries, even though I know you will disagree, as usual.

Nonetheless, If you were not long the $NOK stock, would you still be happy with your Nokia phone?

I'm sure you are going to say yes. And why wouldn't you? You bought it right? So, unless I'm missing something everyone who buys their phone buys them becuase they like something about them. None of us are 100% happy with everything, but this is where the healthy competition comes into play to force your company to bring something to the table that other platforms support.

I have come across many of your comments @ Mr. know, and you seem to have answers to every thing yet I found so many of your comments very questionable and/or inaccurate.

You state "What people want is an interesting and compelling ecosystem". To many of us Blackberry 10 users, the BB10 platform and their echo system is very compelling just like for you
who is $BBRY short, $NOK long and own Nokia WP8, believe MS echo system for WP8 is compelling.

And I have seen application availability for WP8... trust me you've got nothing to gloat about. Competition is healthy to all of us who are just consumers.

The difference between you and I is that I don't go around like you and try to put down competition.

  • BlackBerry 10 Fail: Now, What? [View article]
@ Mr. as per your comment "the handheld phone will never replace the tablet or the desktop computer. In this case smaller is indeed not better."

What would you know about it?????!!!!??!?!?!?

I have connected my phone to my 40# LED TV hanging in my office. Turned on my Wi-Fi to get connectivity to my internal network and Internet. Turned my Bluetooth on to get my keyboard and mouse functionality. and Bam! now I'm in business with connectivity to my files on my NAS storage and Box(accessible anywhere) and on top of that I can work with MS documents on the BIGGGG! screen.

Now, with 10.2 update coming soon to $BBRY BB10 device near you I will be able to do even more but what would you know about it Mr. Know nothing at all.... LOL

    Long Live $BBRY
