  • Did The FDA Just Issue Amarin's Death Blow Again? [View article]
Most new investors will play the game wrong and we all learn from it. I have lost many Thousands of dollars in the beginning days of my investing. You learn from your mistakes. I have in turn made tens of more thousands since that time. 10 years ago when I started I was playing with maybe 20 thousand and lost most of it. Now I am playing with hundreds of thousands. One lesson I will give to you new investors and it worked for me and have found wealth doing it was to never fall in love with any company. They all can crash no matter who they are. I can,t stress this enough. Always set a limit as to how far you will go to get out and stick to it. If investors did this with Amarin they may only be 5% down rather than 80%. Its much easier to bounce back on 5%. Don,t be afraid to loose because we all do but make sure your gains are higher. You do not need to be faithful to one company there are thousands out there. Just move on and forget about it. There is always money to be made elsewhere.

Nothing like having a stock that you own Pop and make big. It defiantly can happen but the odds are always against you. In this case the situation is that if may be the great drug that the company and investors might assume. Apparently the FDA does not see it that way and who knows there might be a turn around December 20th I believe. But it may go the other way and the odds are in favor of that. According to the analysts. I heard a 10% chance of approval. Hey listen your in it now and you can only hope that it works out. But anyone who goes long now in the situation that the company is in has money to gamble and that's all it is. People have been hit by lightning twice. This might be the case for you and I emphasize might. Good Luck.

You need to look at the balance sheet. This is what George is referring to. He really is not so concerned about the product. He is seeing this company slide to death and you apparently did not see that when it slid from $12 to $10 to $8 to $5 and now $2 and then next will be $1 and $0. You can still hope. That's all you can do. Please don,t have anyone use you for advise when it comes to investing. I have heard this company has only a year left so George gave you a extra quarter.
As for loading up at $2 and change. Good on you if this makes it. You have a lot of guts. And hopefully you put enough money into it to pay of large. Or on the other hand you have a lot of money to throw away. To be a good investor you shouldn't be a gambler.
I would never take that chance on a uncertain conclusion of a company that is on the fence.
Oh by the way another .6 down today.

I agree. I have been following the stock since my best buddy bought loads into it. I have to say I have instant notification from seeking alpha. I have to laugh. The same people comment on each notification. Trying to convince the writer and more so them selves that this companies drug is the be all end all drug of the century. Like you said a $15 stock down to $2. Move on. Like I commented before. Like your favorite sports team. You think they will never loose.... Never fall in love with a company. Set limits and get out before its to late.. Yes maybe it might come back. You should of never put yourself in that position. Maybe, is not a option when it comes to the stock market..... So don't blame George. He is just saying the way it is. Yes I believe a person going long as well is taking a large risk. Unless he doesn't mind the risk. Its like going to a casino and taking say $200 to spend on entertainment. He knows more than likely he will loose it but is okay with it. Now let me ask all you the question and what George is saying. Would any of you buy into the company now if you never put a dime into it?

You were defiantly one of the smart ones to see what was coming. People that are involved in a company get to rapped up in it and believe they will win, win , win. Just like your favorite sports team. Never believe they will loose. Rule # 1. Never fall in love with a company.

Its obvious that you like to sink with the ship. Wow your a hero. Me. I wont be in Kinross. Much longer. I have already made many thousands in about 3 weeks. Remember what I said. I have just bought 37,000 shares. Every penny is $370. Bought it at at $4.85 . Do the math. I will be out before the new year. I am not waiting 18 months. I really don,t care what happens to K. after that. I don,t fall in love with my stocks. I fall in love with the money I make at the time. You would be so lucky if Amrn is still in business past a year with bleeding cash. I see your different you like to marry your stock and sink with it and watch it go to its grave. If you were smart you would of had set stops on the stock and got out ages ago when it was tanking. Please don't give people advise. You will take them down with you.

Don't you get it. THE COMPANY IS RUNNING OUT OF MONEY.!!!!!!!
They may at most have a year left to stay afloat. The writer on this article is not the only one who is saying this. SO tell me how can this drug be approved in several years. The company will no longer exist. I don't blame people for taking what they can before its all gone. The stock is trading down today. That says it all. People like you that keep blowing smoke get people more in debt. That's exactly why people have lost there shirts in this. Analyst valuing this stock at $30.More smoke in mirrors.Have you heard of NORTEL.

I watch it because I a have a very good friend that bought most of his savings into this company and in turn his friend has a couple hundred thousand in it as well. He sold his very expensive Lotus to fund the stock.. I told him not to do it but he was convinced like the rest of you that this drug was the be all and end all of cardiovascular drugs. I was tempted when I noticed jumps in the stock but I stayed with my witts and bailed. Like I said I would only buy a dividend stock if all fails, I can retrieve some money while I wait for my stock to pick up. I would only buy into a reputable company. NOT a nobody. I have never shorted a stock in my life. I will either go long or day trade the stock. IN and OUT. Like I said I have zero position in this company

Just noticed that this is one of your comments. Just cut and pasted it for you." we have no positions...., but we know people who do, and are writing this crap to save their asses".
You have as much credibility as AMRN itself. One breath you say you have no position and the next you say.
".I saw a market over reaction and made my move accordingly ,I will hold for further gains "
I don't know why I am bothering wasting my time with you. ALL TALK.

Trust me I've made a lot of money in the stock market. First of all I would never buy a stock and sit and wait for the lottery to pay, especially a stock that does not pay a dividend. Secondly there always is a market over reaction when bad news happens. My prediction is that it will adjust after 3 or so days. I was right. But adjusting at a minimum. The bottom line is it is no where near the position it was a week ago. People trading this stock now are mostly day traders. No one in the right mind would buy into this stock for intentions to go long with it. It may come back but a big may. You would have to be a total idiot to take that chance. Its a day trading stock and that's all for now. If your holding for further gains, would tell me you picked some shares up after the crash. That's If your not doing what most of you investors are doing and that is trying to recover your losses. If not nothing wrong with that, but you better have a fast trigger finger when it crashes again. YOU ARE PLAYING WITH FIRE... As for making a move. Just bought 37,000 shares in Kinross Gold. At $4.85. Yes there is a dividend and lets see who makes money. Keep a eye on it.. Oh by the way I don't claim to be the spelling b champ. There is not enough money in that.

One more thing. You got taken in with potential gains. I stress the word potential. Your lucrative gains turns out to large losses. You play with fire you potentially can get burned. If you have the finances to loose. Sure take a chance.

You might mention as well that some analysts say the odds that the FDA will approve Dec 20th is about 10%. If they do not, this stock will crash even further. I will comment back to you I told you so.
