  • Advanced Micro Devices beats by $0.02, beats on revenue [View news story]
You notice when AMD go up before earning, they usually crash down, but this time around, AMD already crashed down to 3s from 4s, so when the earnings are good, the market made the right correction, it's going to be in the 4s by monday, since market is closed on friday, the smart shorts are covering right now during after hour, since they will lose more on monday.

  • Avoid This Well-Known Chipmaker [View article]
    Short Interest (Shares Short)
    117,988,900
Days To Cover (Short Interest Ratio)
    6.1
    Short Percent of Float
    20.05 %

All you really need to know is that, a few month ago, the short interest was over 200m shares, now it's half of what it used to be, these articles are just a sign of panicking from the shorts, the more they panic, the more confident the longs should be, if you look at history, AMD only crash down after the earning, but this time it's the opposite, they went down before earning, so if AMD's earning is inline with estimate or beats it, then the stock will make it's correction and go up as much as it dropped and then some.

  • Fannie And Freddie Investors Unite In Washington DC [View article]
If these people were in government's shoes, they wouldn't stop milking the cow neither, so the government have no reason to bend over to small potato's whining, because these small potato wouldn't do what they want the government to do if they were in the government's position.

Confused? Put it simple, if these small potato shareholders were the government, they wouldn't let go of the cow, so if they aren't willing to do that, why should they demand the government to do something they don't even want to do themselves.

    Still confused? Oh boy...

  • Government Profits From Continued Control Of Fannie And Freddie [View article]
This FF drama is getting out of hand, ask yourself, if you invest 200b in a company, would you want to be kicked out of the profits from your investment? If no, then why should the government? If you are not willing to do it, then don't expect the government to do it, the government only barely got their principle back after all these years, PLUG went from 15cents to $11 in a single year, that's 74x profits, the government is not going to be satisfied til they see their 200b investment become 14,000b, small potato shareholder profits is nothing compare to the benefits of the whole country, just be satisfied with your gains and buy something else, don't expect the government do something that you don't even want to do.

  • Nokia: The D&S Deal Is Not Endangered By Tax Dispute [View article]
This is what I think, Microsoft already pay so low to Nokia's Phone division compare to what Google paid for Motorola which is a peanut company compare to Nokia, so I think Microsoft should pay the full price and deal with India themselves, they should take the hassle for paying such low price for Nokia, Nokia should demand the full price and let Microsoft deal with India, like the author said, Microsoft doesn't want to be a bench player.

  • Nvidia launches new notebook GPUs, promises big battery life gains [View news story]
"AnandTech: "I suspect many of us simply don’t bother trying to game while unplugged because it drains the battery so quickly"
It's true, people who use gaming laptop with dedicated graphics card don't care about battery life, they wouldn't game on battery to begin with. People who care about battery life on laptop wouldn't buy laptop that come with dedicated graphics card, they would be fine with the IGP from Intel processor or the AMD APU, people who play game on battery would rather go with AMD APU because it has low power GPU that's good enough to play games, having a dedicated graphics card is like having 2 processors in one laptop, this is why AMD's APU are so popular for mobile gamers.

  • Ascendiant coverage launch gives a lift to AMD [View news story]
hard resistance? more like manipulation, if you look at level2, you will see many 100share blocks pushing the price down from $4 to 3.80something, then the weak hands holding 2000~10,000 shares starts to sell too because they couldn't see those level2 100shares blocks tricking them, it only takes 100shares to push price down, it only takes 100shares to make people sell thousands of shares, people with access to level2 would hold their shares tight.

  • AMD jumps following CEO's CNBC talk [View news story]
    AMD shares held by:
    Insider: 15.25%
    Institution: 37.6%
    Public: 47.14%
If the insider has no confidence in the company, they would be holding less than 1%, people shorting this stock is making a bad call, they have sustainable business model, their GPU revenue already surpass their CPU revenue, they didn't pay ATI 5B for nothing.

  • Zynga releases Q4 report early, buying game developer for $527M [View news story]
You sure? Last time Zynga did an acquisition of a game developer and they shut that department down completely, look:

"Zynga, the biggest maker of online social games, took a writedown of $95.5 million in the third quarter on the value of the mobile-app maker, which it bought for $180 million."
    Source from bloomberg Mar 1, 2013: http://bloom.bg/1fmBjVV

Acquisitions show incompetence and weakness in Zynga, when the new CEO ditched the plans for online real money gambling for Zynga, it was a no brainer to dump, if it does go up, thank the Market and sell, because this Acquisition is bigger than the last one and it accounts for half of their cash, same thing can happen to this acquisition where they take a big write down later. Think about it, if they are competent, they would make their own games instead of buying other company, what if the new CEO got friends at the other company? That could mean this acquisition is just the higher up doing a favor for a friend and burn through Zynga's balance sheet while they still have money left.

  • Why Nokia Is Dead Money [View article]
Hi George, I agree with you on your Zynga predictions but I can't agree with you on your Nokia article, because Nokia is a safe stock for the income investors, it's a different type of stock for people who wants diversification, like you said "don't short it".

First of all, Nokia will likely restore dividend after D&S sales, that's a great thing for the income investor who wants to collect dividends, when they restore the dividend, the stock would go up premarket just for that dividend restoration news.

Secondly, there's a huge fear amount the phone makers like Huawei, Samsung, HTC, etc.... remember the article about Huawei begging the government to make sure Nokia doesn't raise their royalty fees? You said there's no growth in Nokia, well, here's one for you and this one made alot of phone makers scared.

Nokia NSN is the main growth, as smartphone sales increase, the demand for 4G and future 5G network service contract will increase, the future is all about "Smart" and "G", the only difference between "Smart" and "G" is, "Smart" is highly competitive and very risky (Nokia already dumped that responsibility to Microsoft), Blackberry is a very good example, the "G" however is much safer and growth and risk is much lower because you need the "G" first to have the "Smart", so Nokia basically went from selling phones to a phone's network service provider.

  • Zynga Set To Disappoint Once More [View article]
George has been right all along with Zynga, so you bulls shouldn't say anything against him.

When the new CEO dismiss the real money online gaming goals of Zynga, the stock already has sell warning signs all over the place, everyone was counting on Zynga for multibag but the new CEO choose to put all eggs in 1 basket and keep Zynga in a highly competitive market.

The new CEO was fired from Microsoft because of the Xbox One screw up which cost billions of dollars for Microsoft shareholders, he left Microsoft before he get fired so he doesn't get embarrassed.
There was very high volumes of insider selling with Zynga, they sold 5% of the float within 6month period of time, that's another warning sign that the bulls missed.

Anyways, George, why don't you give the bulls your price prediction with Zynga? You have been correct on your predictions in the past.

Btw, I was a Zynga bull once, when they had the real money online gambling goals in mind, the stock took a nose dive when the new CEO call off the project. I dumped my shares when I reached break even when the stock was getting pumped up for no fundamental reason behind.
