  • Today's Stock Pick: Phillips 66 (PSX) Jan 8th, 2013

    Hi traders, the market is going down today but I see in weekly chart that the DJIA and S&P is moving up in a longer term. So I will keep giving you stock picks everyday until there is a bearish signal. For an update, I have sold (virtually) Qlik Technologies Inc (QLIK) at $19.90 and KLA-Tencor Corporation at $47.83 (0.63 % profit) because they dropped below my stop loss point.

    So I have decided to buy (virtually) Phillips 66 (PSX) at $51.53 to fill my portfolio. The reason is because Phillips 66 has a tight, neat bullish price channel pattern and the price has just bounced from its support. So I think the stock has a potential to reach its resistance at around $57. And in order to minimize my risk, I set a stop loss at $50.75.

  • Today's Stock Pick: Steel Dynamics Inc (STLD) Jan 7th, 2013

    Hi traders, how's your portfolio? I'm still keeping all my virtual stocks and many of them are still going up, and there is no stock touching its stop loss. But for anybody who still wants stock picks to complete his/her portfolio, there are four stocks I think have a potential to move up.

    So the first stock is Steel Dynamics Inc (STLD) which just broke its bullish price channel on last Friday, and then made a new 52 weeks high this morning.

  • Today's Stock Pick: United States Steel Corp (X) January 2nd, 2013

    Hi traders, Happy new year for all of you!

    The market is still jumping for the second day, and all my stocks' price are still jumping as well. And since one of my stocks, CLD hit its stop loss, I have to change it with the new stock. And now I found one good stock based on my criteria. It is United States Steel Corp (X) which I bought virtually at $25.69 each. I bought it because it just ended its sideway trend and I think the bull is starting to show its horns.
