User, never let ego get in the way of making sound investment decisions, a concept Icahn has yet to learn at this point. Hopefully he learns after this ordeal.

  • Why Bill Ackman Will Be Proven Right On Herbalife Soon [View article]
And one more thing, HLF borrowed hundreds of millions of dollars to buy back stock in the $50's and $60's. Do you see how laughable that was? Do you see how much of YOUR equity was flushed down the toilette in a wasted effort? Do you see the hundreds of millions of dollars which in essence just vanished? You think things are OK? Really?

  • Ackman ramps up his bearish views on Herbalife in interview [View news story]
Been reading the bullish posts at $60, at $50, at $40 and now under $40. How low does it need to go before people realize "the market" has spoken and does not look kindly on this company?

  • Motorola Solutions rallies on Argus upgrade [View news story]
"Argus has upgraded Motorola Solutions (MSI +2.7%) to Buy, and set a $55 target."

What? The stock already trades over $60 and they have a buy with a $55 target? Really?

  • Goldcorp: A Gold Producer For A Potential Gold Rebound [View article]
Yeah, the price of gold. What will it be in 1 year, in 3 years or in 5 years? Nobody knows. I thought a loose Fed and all this quantitative easing was going to give us gobs of inflation. And now with the huge drop in oil prices it is not anywhere in sight. I do know when inflation does kick in it is extremely difficult and painful to squeeze it out of the economy and gold is a great place to be. I just don't know what it will happen, but definitely want to be in gold when it does.

Current dip probably represents a buying opportunity. I already have enough shares but have good expectations here.

The stock once rested above $80 and now hovers around $40. That is not going down in your world? What color is the sky in your world?

And like I say above Larry, those shorts have to pay a dividend on every share they hold short. Burning a major hole in their pockets. I never short high paying dividend stocks because of that.

mad, shorts are a good thing. Those are shares which have to eventually be covered (bought back). And with the heavy dividend this stock pays, those shorts are burning a hole in their pockets. Yet another incentive to cover.

citracyde, well we're getting closer and closer to your $38 target price. I think my most expensive shares are around $34 so I'm good here.

  • Zacks' BullĀ Of The Day: Zebra Technologies [View article]
I love this company and stock. It has become one of my largest holdings. But the integration of the Motorola unit nearly twice their own size does weigh on me. If the integration is successful, I suppose the stock cold double from here. If not, I'd be concerned. I have a lot of confidence in this management team to integrate this acquisition so I hold on, but I do so with some worry.

  • Herbalife And The 1986 State Of California Final Judgment: An Update [View article]
Jeff, what does top investors buying more stock have to do with there being a conflict of interest in this case? The point being made here is that the AG or the law firm currently representing HLF needs to recuse themselves from the case. Which party do you believe will be forced to walk away? And how will that impact the case against HLF?

  • Exxon Mobil: A Massive Buying Opportunity? Don't Drink The Kool-Aid [View article]
Buy low, sell high. The best time to buy stocks is when they are out of favor, even on legitimate news. If you went back to 2007-2008 and bought financial stocks who were down on legitimate bad news and possibly going under you would have made a killing. The best time to buy oil stocks is with oil hovering around $50-$60 as one day oil will be back to over $100. I wouldn't suggest buying then, but would now, or when it does reach $50 a barrel.

  • Exxon Mobil: A Massive Buying Opportunity? Don't Drink The Kool-Aid [View article]
I'm still trying to get my arms around this statement by the CEO:

"Exxon Mobil can weather the downturn in oil prices even if prices sink to $40 per barrel. Exxon's massive projects in areas such as liquefied natural gas and deepwater drilling are decade-long investments that have been tested to perform across a broad range of price ranges, from $40 to $120 per barrel."

So if prices rise above $120 per barrel they cease to perform well?
