Hi, I am a 33 year old part-time trader that started this website as a way to improving my skills as a trader and also sharing my thoughts on the market. I am a follower of the CANSLIM method of investing developed by William O'Neil, founder of Investor's Business Daily. I have adapted this strategy to my own tastes and continue to fine-tune my strategies. I use Telechart for my daily scans and several of their indicators to help me recognize charts that are likely to move much higher. I also use Telechart to keep track of data that I use as a timing mechanism for the overall market - it's the most powerful tool for traders out there and if you're not using, you don't know what you're missing. I prefer to go long stocks, as that is where the big money is made, but I also will short stocks if the setups present themselves. I enjoy the challenge the stock market brings and aim to be the best trader I can possibly be. Although I have improved my skills a great deal, I still have a great deal to learn about trading, psychology, and the market in general. I continue to work hard to improve my skills, learn my lessons, and aim to become a better trader each and every day. I am happily married and my wife, Andrea, and we have two sons, Zach and Luke. I enjoy reading, watching and playing sports, and spending time with my family. I hope you enjoy my website and continue to frequent it. Please feel free to ask questions or share comments whenever you have them. Thanks. Ryan (Mac)

About 20 years ago I started investing in mutual funds and reading all I could about the stock market. A few years ago I started swing trading with limited success, and grew my account 19% in 2013. On 02/01/2014 I made a decision to try to change my life by becoming a Day Trader. I sold every stock I was holding and started with a cash balance of about 26,000 dollars. I will be posting my results in my instablog and on my website, www.ScottsDayTradeLog.webs.com.
