    With the ag commodities under price pressure it's hard to see the agricultural market for tile continuing to be as strong as it has been for the last few years. Not sure of the percentage of their product goes into the agricultural market ?
    Seven dollar corn bought a lot of tile, not so sure about $ 3.50 corn.

  • Propane Prices Have Been Rising. Why? Who Benefits? Who Is Hurt? [View article]
    Propane prices are rising here in Minnesota due to pipeline problems. So it's not necessarily the product but the distribution that is causing a run-up in prices here. Long waits at the terminals for loads and talk of pipelines being diverted to other uses in the near future are causes of increase pricing for propane ?

    We really need to boycott funds that only have their own funds as all or part of their portfolio's. Those type funds are double dipping fee's unless I am not reading the prospectous right.
    We need to make sure the employers are not part of that scam.

  • Are North American Farm Equipment Sales In A Bubble? [View article]
    With the uncertainity of continued high prices for corn and soybeans one would think that demand for new paint will slow. Producers have been updating equipment as a way to reduce taxes with the record farm incomes they have been enjoying.
    Would almost think that being short these manufacturers would be more prudent that being long.

  • Deere: Price Weakness Presents A Buying Opportunity [View article]
    In our area of the world seven dollar corn has helped farmers make irrational decisions. It will probably be time to short Deere sometime when we get back to trend line yields in corn. Our guys will be stuck paying $450 per acre rent instead on buying new paint.
