    PTTRX pays out monthly dividends, so that is not a problem. I was thinking more in terms of some sort of risk specific to these types of investments.

    DBLTX and DLNTX have only two years of history behind them. No way to assess the consistency of performance over the long run.

    PTTRX made 4% last year. Not an anomalous return if you look at the history.

    I have a question for the professionals here.

    Given that PTTRX has returned over 7% since inception, and its cousin PTTDX slightly less, what is the downside for a retiree who wants to retire on withdrawing 4-5% a year if he puts all the assets in one of these funds? I understand the risk of putting everything in one basket, but apart from that what is intrinsic risk of these funds?
