Not that I disagree with your overall comment but Peter Lynch held stock in over 70 companies.

That's not good. Any reports on this or is it all hush hush right now? MBAs are bad news long term.

  • Tesla's Share Price Means That Everyone Else Is The Winner [View article]
I also like Musk and believe he is building something great, but as an investment TSLA shares are horrifying on any fundamental, like this article states. Make sure the fact that you "idiolize the man" doesn't make you blind to the financials and fundamentals of the share price. I genuinely hope he succeeds and trusts that he will however just because I really like an item doesn't mean I'll pay one hundred times its value for it.

  • Armour Residential REIT: You've Been Warned [View article]
Depends why they are selling. If it's price related yes that's bad, but there is nothing wrong with seller a loser for the right reasons. Valuations, fundamentals, management, financials, and company's outlook.

  • Nokia Earnings: What Happened And What Comes Next? [View article]
I'm not saying the miss from Networks was good, but the short term market is extremely volatile and this huge decrease in price seems like an overreaction to me. I was looking for a good entry point to get into NOK again so thank you Mr. Market for providing one!

  • Armour Residential REIT: You've Been Warned [View article]
Yes that too. I have been completely out of mREITs for a while now simply because the Fed can't make up its mind about interest rates. Although from what I have learned MFA and NYMT are well positioned for the eventual rise in interest rates.

  • Armour Residential REIT: You've Been Warned [View article]
I got burned on this when the mREIT sector seemed to be going down. ARR went down more significantly than others which got me looking at the management and I did not like what I saw. I should have looked closer at management before buying but I was blinded by the dividend. I sold at a loss and put the money into MFA instead which recovered very nicely and made my money back. If I were to put money in an mREIT again it would be MFA (once more) or NYMT.

  • Why American Eagle Outfitters Seems A Little Overpriced [View article]
A P/E of almost 110 is just ridiculous. I like the brand I think it's strong and I believe they will turn it around but certainly not at this price until they stop losing cash and increase earnings. I might buy back in if it rolls back down to 10$-11$ and the company keeps the turnaround steady.

  • Stocks Are Moving Higher But Beware [View article]
Honestly I don't think we'll be seeing a crash any time soon, at least not until interest rates go up. There is nowhere to put your money but stocks right now if you want a halfway decent return. Most GiCs offer 4% average at best and that's after a 10 year freeze. Keeping in a simple savings account gets you about 1% annually, and bonds that aren't junk won't fare you much better. Even with a low risk stock with a decent dividend payout you'll beat those returns.

  • American Eagle Delivers But Risks Remain [View article]
It's definitely a play on a turnaround but at the same time the management is already aware that it needs to shape up and has already been doing so by closing some stores (some malls had two AEO stores in one building) and moving to a bigger, better online presence. AEO still has a lot of cash and a strong brand name (especially compared to ARO's deteriorating brand name in the eyes of teen shoppers). It's done the turnaround thing before and can do it again, in my opinion. I am long AEO.

  • Tesla: The Short Of The Decade? [View article]
I agree that it's overvalued but how many years did LULU remain overvalued before it eventually came back to reality? In fact it only now rests in normal retail like P/E ratios. I don't have any TESLA shares because it's too overvalued for me, but I wish the company the best. I don't think it's a good buy, but I think it's a horrible short because this stock is currently the cool kid on the stock market.

  • Why Google Should Once Again Try To Buy Groupon [View article]
Remember Google Video? They shut that down too. Then bought Youtube. Just because they shut it down doesn't mean they are not interested. In fact it probably points more to the fact that they are likely looking at acquisitions.
