  • Report: Microsoft thinking of allowing Android apps on Windows/WP [View news story]
I mean that BB10's current functionality has already surpassed iOS and Android and it has only been a year.

One only has to try typing on the BB10 virtual keyboard to see the evolution in effect.

can you show an instance where the technology is used in another mobile device to refute the claim by crackberry that it is exclusive to BB devices?

The article you linked only shows the technology (if indeed it is the same technology that is used by Blackberry) as being used in TVs....

BlackBerry Natural Sound is new technology exclusive to BlackBerry and part of BlackBerry 10.2 that makes phone calls, BBM Voice and BBM Video chats sound more natural and realistic.

    @freddy

no that is untrue. Lenovo wanted to buy the company but the CDN government blocked them.

all the heavyweights, GOOG, MSFT, AAPL etc were interested in parts of the company.

ultimately the Board made the decision that the company could survive and turned down all suitors.

Fairfax had the financing but didn't want to saddle the company with 3B in debt.

Plus the institutional shareholders would never haver sold for $9/share.

The partnership with Foxconn producing attractive and affordable low end devices to snatch up a swath of the emerging markets, increasing adoption of BBM cross-platform, increading adoption of BES10 in Enterprise, elimination of 800M in royalty payments by November, growing awareness of the superiority of BB10 and the Z30 (not to mention possible octo-core Z50 by autumn)....to name a few catalysts.

BB10 has now leapfrogged iOS and Android but you wouldn't know that until you have a Z30 in your hands.

  • More upside ahead for Plug Power, Cowen says [View news story]
I do. The HFC is only now beginning to come into its own. BLDP owns a lot of IP and is diversifying into many fields and continents.

I would hold both stocks for a couple of years as to potential is huge especially of Toyota and other auto manufacturers carry through with developing HFC cars.

wow see that is just it right there in a nutshell....while you are tripping over TH and the past, Blackberry is moving forward under JC with deep-pocketed expertise behind them.

Watsa as the money manager. Chen as the salesman. Foxconn as the manufacturer.

Now the technology is about to take over and begin to do the talking.

    LONG.

your logic makes no sense. If shorts felt that the stock is doomed they wouldn't be cashing out. They are too smart to make a stampeded to the door and know they have time so are quietly leaving the building before it becomes even clearer that Blackberry is going to survive and could very well thrive beyond the power of their intellectual property.

And that's what they are doing, short interest is dropping. And the institutions seem to be happy to buy them up at these bottom prices. That's why Loeb is in. He saw the same story at Yahoo! only Blackberry's turnaround is for real.

Yahoo mail isn't even useable anymore.

That's the high cost of litigation rearing its head.

It's an expensive and draw-out process. But if the payday is there, so will the backers.
