  • BlackBerry: Let's Not Get Too Crazy [View article]
“As connectivity costs continue to fall and connected technologies become pervasive, a new market is emerging – the Internet of Things,” said John Chen, Executive Chairman and CEO, BlackBerry, in a release. “Billions of connections, generating trillions of transactions and exabytes of data daily, will require platforms that can operate securely on a global scale. No other company is in a better position than BlackBerry to provide the technological building blocks, applications and services needed to enhance productivity, improve real-time decision making and deliver on the vision of the Internet of Things.”

Market has already priced in the conversion of debt to equity the moment it was announced. Share price dropped the exact percentage as if the conversion had taken place. It is now a non-factor.

KIA, we've been through this before, the only secured messaging intra-organization. I"m not counting the highly specialized covert networks that the CIA, NATO etc may use. I"m talking about networks that civilian corporations can use.

we are investors determining whether Blackberry represents good value at $9.50 per share giving it approx a 5B market cap. BB doesn't need to sell 10 million phones on the first day of a new release to be very profitable and have the share price appreciate considerably. However if Apple doesn't maintain their lofty sales then their even loftier share price will plummet.
    Do try to see this!
