  • More on Lenovo/BlackBerry [View news story]
    thanks amigo!

I agree because we've heard of Lenovo's interest for quite some time and also BBRY had a meeting with gov't officials to discuss/clarify the foreign takeover rules...

that Lenovo is now officially taking a closer look is positive, positive, news!!

  • BlackBerry: Selling Pieces Of The Pie Gets Complicated [View article]
Kudos to you Scott on your great trades. But that was then and this is now....and now the play is on whether BBRY's SP is an accurate reflection on BBRY's worth either in whole or in piecemeal to other bidders.

My comment on desperation was directed at Andreas for what I feel are obvious reasons reading the content of that particular post (and others like it recently by the same author).

If you think that BBRY is overvalued at $8 share then by all means continue to short it but my bet is heavily on the opposite.

    Good luck.

  • Strategic buyers express interest in BlackBerry - Reuters [View news story]
Those vendor obligations will be renegotiated and the valuation above doesn't even take into account the 2.6 B in cash on hand.

BlackBerry is worth $12 share MINIMUM

Yes, exactly. What is the price that someone is willing to pay to have the advantages that BBRY's secure network and patents offer...

    my bet is a LOT.

We are talking about the future of secured mobile communications.

  • This May Be Time To Cash Out Of BlackBerry - Time Is Short [View article]
    quite easy to refute:

I'll pick a couple of your points:

-Prem Watsa has gone on record saying that he will complete the deal at $9 and WILL NOT lower the price. He specifically mentioned his reputations and integrity over the past 28 years. That the stock is trading below that figure TODAY means BUPKIS. It is simply traders trying to scare people by capitalizing on the recent negative sentiment.

-BB10 is not a flop. Yes the phones did not sell well that was due to structural issues in the distribution chain and not enough marketing. Specifically I mean the monopoly that Apple exudes on the US carriers. BB10 gets consistently great reviews and anyone who has used it for more than a few days knows this. Yes return rates were 'abnormal', yes there are consumers who no longer know how to learn something new....but that will change in time.

I could go on but I have better things to do!

  • BlackBerry: This Is Just Plain Ugly [View article]
I remember his articles, and Bloomberg is already native to BB10 as with a bunch of others.

I have plenty of apps on my phone.

  • 65K BlackBerry World apps come from two developers [View news story]
The only mismatch is the valuation of the company due to the lack of a full suite of apps after only 6 months of the platform being launched.

You are making a bunch if assumptions. That quality is poor. Also thus news came out earlier today while market was open.

The bottom line for the SP is how much are the company's patents truly worth to other players. That more than anything will determine the offer price.

no it is your closed mind that begs a laugh!

after one quarter in which there was a small miss with little Q10 data you are calling the game over.

    now that is truly laughable!!

  • BlackBerry (BBRY -0.1%) roundup: 1) The WSJ reports David Smith, the exec responsible for the PlayBook, has left the company. The report comes shortly after news the PlayBook won't be updated to support BB10. Thorsten Heins has suggested BlackBerry won't launch new tablets, and instead focus on developing BB10 phones that can be docked with PC/tablet peripherals. Bloomberg recently reported BlackBerry is expecting a pickup in executive departures. 2) A video showing off the A10 has been leaked. Specs were leaked last week. 3) Noting the Q5's high unsubsidized price ($397 in Indonesia), Tero Kuittinen argues BlackBerry badly needs to release cheaper BB10 phones to avoid losing its emerging markets base to ~$100 Android phones. [View news story]
Long BBRY and completely unfazed by the slow start. That's because I own a Z10 and know firsthand its superiority to my ipod5 and anything resembling an android.

patience will pay (like it just did for $FB)

    in this case

  • Why BlackBerry Urgently Needs A Buyer Or Partner [View article]
    I do.

Waterloo has some of the best minds on the planet and they saw something with QNX that caused them to buy the company and privatize the source code.

If you'd pick up a Z10 and use it for a day or two, and then try going back to Android or iOS you'd know firsthand how much better (and expandable) the software is.

  • As expected, all of BlackBerry's (BBRY +3.8%) directors were re-elected at the company's annual meeting. BlackBerry also announced there are now 120K BB10 apps available (up from 100K in March), and that 60K users are beta-testing BBM Channels. Shares are rallying, but remain below $10 for now. [View news story]
BBRY is set up for the future. May take a little time for the present to catch up but it will....moment by moment, day by day.

    Long and strong
