How about a buyer that knows a deal when they see it:

    2.6B cash + 2B Real Estate holdings + 3B patents (maybe more) + QNX + BBM + legacy service revenue. + 500M tax rebate in 2014

    you do the math

  • 4 Reasons To Like BlackBerry Ahead Of Earnings [View article]
catman, the shorts are testing your resolve...certainly one needs a strong stomach to hold through all this volatility but eventually that patience will be rewarded. Whether it is June, September, or beyond, the day of reckoning for the shorts is on the horizon because this company and its software, hardware, and brain trust is for REAL.

I'm not going to look a the stock price anymore, my shares are put away and soon enough they will flourish.

  • BlackBerry (BBRY +8.3%) has received an order for 1M BB10 phones from one of its "established partners" (exactly whom remains a mystery). The announcement has sent shares flying higher over the final hour of trading. Also: Verizon (VZ) says it will begin selling the Z10 on March 28, and will start taking pre-orders tomorrow. As was rumored, the carrier will have exclusive access to a white version of the device. [View news story]

  • BlackBerry Could Double From Here [View article]
After BBRY's disasterous quarter in June Goldman revised their salvage value from $28 to $20.

There's a lot of press trying to convince investors to jump ship.

There are also a lot of people buying those panicked or disgruntled weak long's shares.

This is a clear value play, regardless of whether BBRY lives on as its own company.

    Buy, Buy,

    then...

    go BUY some more.

in a few months you will be one happy camper.

Long - 80% of my portfolio.

  • BlackBerry (BBRY) loses another big enterprise customer as Home Depot is reportedly switching to Apple's (AAPL) iOS for all store managers and corporate-level employees. The move will have the company swapping out about 10K Blackberrys for iPhones. At this point the approximately 60K Motorola phones used by floor employees will not be affected. [View news story]
Whatever the incentives AAPL may have flashed their way, Depot is sure going to regret this move once it becomes clear what a superior platform BB10 is.

  • Did BlackBerry Sell 200,000 Passports Or A Million? [View article]
yes, some readers here may recall that when I got a hold of the Passport on launch day I posted a mixed-review with the main issue being the keyboard layout...it took a couple of days but now even though I still cannot type as fast as I could on the Z10 (or iphone for that matter), my typing is much more accurate.

It isn't surprising that reviewers may have had similar experiences and lowered their score for the Passport.

Once you learn how to swipe up words on the touch-enabled keyboard and swipe left to erase, or double-tap to align the cursor when editing, it truly is a joy to use.

The only drawback, which paradoxically is it's main strength, is the size. I believe that's a tradeoff that many professionals, and consumers, will choose to make.

Great job by BB to bring this to market with a 30hr battery and solid build. It feel premium and I'm happy that Chen didn't kill it when he took the reigns and I know he also shares that sentiment!

  • BlackBerry Is Fermenting [View article]
too bad you couldn't get your hands on the Z30. It's incredible.

And BB isn't giving up on touch screen, only focusing on keyboard for corporate clients.

BB will be releasing monster large touch screens later this year and next and they will blow your mind.

    and then some.
