I usually don't agree with much you say Josh, but on TPLM I think you are spot on! Rockpile, pipeline and good acreage.

  • Dividend Buy Of The Month: Target Corporation [View article]
I use to go to TGT all the time , can't stand WalMart. But the problem I see for TGT is Amazon. One click, free shipping, no taxes. No lines,no parking. I'd like to purchase TGT shares but I just keep thinking about Amazon. (not that I'd buy Amazon shares).

  • Bitcoin Fails As A Currency And The Bubble Will Eventually Pop [View article]
Something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. If someone wants to give me $1000 for a bitcoin then so be it. If someone wants to give me $1000 for a piece of shiney metal so be it. No crazier than using a piece of paper with a picture of a dead politican on it. Its alot easier to make a piece of paper with a picture of someone on it than it is to say mine a oz of gold.Just my 2 cents.

  • Team Alpha Portfolios: Dumping Cisco As It Continues To Lag [View article]
I like to look at the protfolio in the big picture. I agree dump CSCO for something with a little more upside potential. The author is not perfect in his calls, but the protfolio has done well for me.

  • BP Beat Down In Court Again, Faces Up To $90 Billion In Claims [View article]
90 billion? where did this number come from?
What is the authors postion on BP? short I'd bet
I am long.....and hope to buy more on the dips from articles like this.If BP were forced to pay the 90 Billion and be ruined. Think of all the jobs at BP that would be lost, all the service companies jobs that supply & do service work for BP in the gulf. All the lost taxes etc... It would truely devestate the gulf region. Then maybe I could join a class action lawsuit and sue all the people that made fraudulent claims, blame them for my job loss. The end of BP would do more damage to the gulf economy than the oil spill ever did.

  • BP spill settlement upheld, may have to pay billions more than it anticipated [View news story]
The same gov't that approves billions in bogus welfare payments each year. Time for BP to drag this out over 20 years like Exxon did. Yes BP did create a mess. And yes those affected should be compensated. Still long BP.

  • Mizuho: New crude-by-rail rules could hit Hess, Marathon, others [View news story]
Funny how you dont hear much about the grain car that derailed. Then the train hauling the crude hit it. I guess more requlation on the tankers hauling gasoline to the local gas station is needed as well. I'm no expert but I'd say gasoline is 10x's more dangerous than crude oil. Blah blah blah no pipe lines, no trains, no frac'n. Yet the groups who oppse oil use it every day. Petroleum is in everything or used to get everything we use in our daily lives.

  • BP Set To Benefit Shareholders... And Only Shareholders [View article]
McDonalds makes me fat....I wana sue, Coca Cola has sugar in it and it rots my teeth.... Ciggaretes cause cancer...I wana sue.....blah blah blah...Oil is bad, Fracing is bad.....blah blah blah. I wana sue BP cause of a oil spill a 100 miles away that supposedly slowed down buisness at a tanning bed or Gas station. so so sick of whinning americans (I am american) that want money for doing nothing but sit on cell phones and watch reality TV. If the Judge wont stop these fictious claims maybe us stockholders of BP could get a calss action lawsuit against the fraudsters??? Sign me up !

  • Whiting's Q3: Cemented Liners, Plug-N-Perf Completion Technique Should Lead To Higher Valuation [View article]
Fossil fuel, not sure where you got the notion that frac'n only happens in the daylight hours. Most operators in the Bakken frac 24/7. Average plug n perf well takes 5 days (zipper frac) average non stop sliding sleeve takes around 16 to 24 hours of continuous pumping. Atleast that's what I experience in the Bakken.
