  • BP's Dividend And Buyback Are At Real Risk [View article]
Your article is biased. "I've spent plenty of time in New Orleans - have family and friends there - and know firsthand the effect that this spill has had on the area."
BP is willing to pay those affected. BP does not want to pay the BS claims and the fraudsters.
My buisness in Colorado was harmed, people in the Gulf region could not afford to come on Vacation and ski. Should I get paid for my losses..............

The residents of the gulf are going to bite the hand that feeds it. How about they bankrupt BP. Then they will be on Obamacare & Welfare complaing they don't have jobs.

  • BP spill settlement upheld, may have to pay billions more than it anticipated [View news story]
The same gov't that approves billions in bogus welfare payments each year. Time for BP to drag this out over 20 years like Exxon did. Yes BP did create a mess. And yes those affected should be compensated. Still long BP.

  • Apple's Declining Advantage Is Undeniable [View article]
Apple is more expensive. But you get what you pay for. Who wants a $100 phone that works for 6 months. Kinda like buying furniture at Wal-Mart, sure its cheap but....
I'd gladly pay the premium for Apple products.

  • Bitcoin Fails As A Currency And The Bubble Will Eventually Pop [View article]
Something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. If someone wants to give me $1000 for a bitcoin then so be it. If someone wants to give me $1000 for a piece of shiney metal so be it. No crazier than using a piece of paper with a picture of a dead politican on it. Its alot easier to make a piece of paper with a picture of someone on it than it is to say mine a oz of gold.Just my 2 cents.

  • Are The Markets Rigged? [View article]
I wish I could go to Vegas and gamble (its not investing anymore) and when I fail ,the goverment (the peoples taxes) can bail me out so I can continue to get paid my Million dollar a yr salary w/ bonus. What a joke the markets aren't rigged. Seriously...I have 4000 Tones of gold in my back yard, would you like to buy a piece of paper that says you can have some. I promise its there. No need to hold on to the heavy shiny stuff. This piece of paper(GLD, SLV) is much more convenient.

  • Are You Really Ready To Retire? [View article]
Substituted XOM with CVX & BP cause I'm young and feel the risk is worth the reward, Also Substituted AAPL for IBM for same reason. Other than that I own all of the above. Start young, and don't spen more than you make. Let the dividends compound for the next 30 years.

  • Get Ready For The Big One - Bakken Flooding Coming This Year? [View article]
I'm sorry but the author hasn't a clue what he is talking about. The bigger concern would be local counties (Williams,Mountrail,Burke etc) starting to restrict all roads to 6 tons. "Frost Laws". Its happening earlier this year and lasting longer. Crude, water and sand can be loaded to avoid being over weight. Frac and drilling equipment can not.

  • Big Oil Under Serious Threat [View article]
    Solar generates electricity.
You can turn oil into plastic.
Look around you and count how many things have plastic in them.
Pretty sure oil will be around for a long time. Probably until some one figures out how to turn sunlight into plastic.

  • Are The Gold Bugs Wrong? [View article]
Ill hang on to my Physical til they day I die, then my son can have it. If I never need it so what. Its a great rainy day "insurance policy". I don't have to fil out forms or be told sorry your policy doesn't cover that. Better than a bank account being "Taxed" as well. And lastly I'd rather stare at that shiny metal than a 200 year old portrait of a dead president.

  • Get Ready For The Big One - Bakken Flooding Coming This Year? [View article]
I got news for ya Josh, a majority of wells drilled, and completed. are done in muddy,wet,cold,windy,h... conditions. There is very little you can say, to convience me that flooding is going to affect the Bakken. I go to work in the Bakken with boots on every day. You probably where a suit to a office. Yes a few wells may be shut in because of minor flooding. But in no way is it going to cause significant problems. No more than muddy roads, Icey roads or cold temps. The men and woman who make this possible are use to these conditions. This is buisness as normal in North Dakota. Again, the bigger issue are the Load Restrictions "Frost Laws" Check out some county websites do a article on that. Then you will have a article about production slowing to a crawl.
