This was a guild-breaking book, revealing trade secrets at an early phase of the digital audio revolution for serious programmers. The CD with the book contains complete source code for a decent digital audio editor with a lot of nifty features. A lot of this code is now in proprietary (and expensive) audio
editors. I have never received a dime from this other than the advance. The various publishers that have owned this have obviously been cheating, as I get more email from the address I put in the code than they claim total sales. Now there is a kindle version no one asked me about -- doubt it has the code, which is the good part anyway.
