As with the sleeping herd, I dozed and contributed with each paycheck to faceless fund managers, trusting in "conventional wisdom". And now, properly bathed, hair cut shorter, I join those smaller investors who would rather suffer by their own faults of judgment than trust the barbers and bath attendants again.
And, actually, joining "kindergartens of finance" is turning out to be quite interesting. When you learn and look forward to learning more, the ride is at least as enjoyable as the destination.
