Apple needs no touch screen on Mac. Magic Mouse provides all the necessary touch-screen functionality, only in a more convenient way. Microsoft did it because they wanted integrated OS on mobile devices and PC, however the touch screen is completely unnecessary on the latter. Apple can achieve similar integration level easily by allowing IOS to run under the Mac OS.

I disagree, the show is over there. The future direction of Apple is clear, and iPhone has been only a stepping stone in it. Everybody understands that saturation dampens demand, so iPhone margins would decline eventually even if it were the only smart phone available. Apple's main competitor is not Samsung, or HTC, but Google, and this is what Apple's future initiatives will reflect.
