  • Ziopharm Oncology May Win The Battle But Will They Win The War? [View article]
    Bobby,

    Phase 2 enrollment's patients were ECOG 0 or 1.
Picasso lll allowed some sicker patients. Hope that helps.

    Hope,

Very well-reasoned post. I really like that you consider the cancer patient's point of view. After all, isn't that what it's all about?

Also concur wholeheartedly with your comments about the FDA.

In evaluating an OS benefit, why leave out the significant differences between palifosphamide and ifosphamide? Would not a fair, unbiased article at least note that patients should tolerate pali better than ifosphamide AND can therefore tolerate a higher maximum dose?

"Based on the results of EORTC 62012, it is unlikely that the FDA would grant palifosamide an accelerated 1st-line approval based on PFS as many have speculated..."
Well, now, the FDA won't be basing their decision on EORTC 62012, now, will they? Do I need to go into the difference in toxicity between ifosfamide and palifosphamide? Isn't this toxicity difference the SIGNIFICANT BASIS for the Picasso trials to begin with?
    SHEEESHHHHH!

  • Ziopharm: What Are The Odds Of The Control Group Outperforming? [View article]
Bobby, obviously your interest with this stock is beyond passive. You have questioned the stability of Pali to Pearson, the short seller, and to those who are long. While I agree an exact answer has not been produced, wouldn't the trials themselves had problems if this WAS an issue? It would seem to me, and I am no expert, that common sense would tell you either to trust the IDMC and Ziop or believe in a massive conspiracy.

  • Richard Pearson Responds On Ziopharm [View article]
    Ask yourself ONE question:

While asking specific questions of Ziopharm (who is under NO obligation to answer whatsoever, and SHOULDN'T), Pearson has not answered a SINGLE specific question put to him about a biased artical HE, HIMSELF wrote! Not one. Zero, Zilch.

The answer, of course, is that HE cannot answer because HE is wrong, HE knows this, and it would not support HIS short position.

    Pretty plain, pretty simple.

FYI, the COO of ERTS did not announce he was taking a position with ZYNGA. ERTS announced his resignation. It is strongly rumored he is going to Zynga, although none of the players have confirmed this yet.

Here are a couple stocks that might feel the pain of an NFL lockout. 1) Pepsico. A whole lot of tailgating is composed of their drinks and snacks, as well as consumed in front of the tube during games. 2) Anheuser Busch. See #1.

What does my bio have to do with you making an idiotic statement? Nothing, that's what.

You wrote the article, you made the foolish statement.

By the way, if you did the slightest bit of research, you'd know that Zynga has hired MANY key employees away from ERTS. But why do research when writing an article. Worry more about my bio.

The COO of ERTS, with a history of job hopping, took a job with Zynga because "he agrees with you"? Huh?

Would it ever occur to you that taking another job carries with it a multitude of reasons? The Fact of the matter is you know absolutely nothing about why he switched jobs. Your statement is bogus at best, and completely erroneous at worst.

I'm questioning altogether why I bother with SA at all.

From talking to a few younger friends that are into gaming, most responses are that their play would increase due to having nothing to do on Sundays or Monday nights.

Reasoning? I fail to see why Madden 2012 would not sell, since it is released well BEFORE the season openers. If the season gets cancelled it actually may INCREASE 2012 sales because it would be their only "new season" outlet. Remember the draft is going to happen in any event and that is a huge factor in new Madden games.

Now 2013 could be a different story.

ACTUALLY, without an NFL season, gamers may play MORE Madden because they will need their football fix they won't get from the real thing.

Of course, the BIG mover in the near future for ERTS will be the release of SWTOR. I'm surprised you didn't reference it.
