I enjoy investing. I particularly like the ideas presented by William O'Neil (and his disciples). This style in not necessarily for every one (nor every dollar). I use Index ETFs as my core holding with what I hope is good stock picks when I can find them. I also have learned that "The Trend is My Friend" is true.
"He is no fool who gives what he can not keep
to gain that which he can not lose."
--- Jim Elliot Journal entry October 28, 1949
I am a Blue-Collar worker that has been investing for over twenty years. I will invest across all types of investments: Tech, growth, dividends, bonds, & options. I believe that people can invest on their own and in due time can build a portfolio of stocks that will easily surpass many mutual fund pros. With a little bit of learning and practicing good investment ideas, along with action, there is no way to avoid being wealthy.

The twenty-dollar bill in the past was referred to as a "double-sawbuck" because it is twice the value of a ten-dollar bill, which was nicknamed a "sawbuck" due to the resemblance the Roman numeral for ten (X) bears to the legs of a sawbuck, although this usage had largely fallen out of favor by the 1980s. The twenty dollar gold coin was known as a "double eagle". Rather than a nickname, this nomenclature was specified by an act of Congress.
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing says the average circulation life of a $20 bill is 25 months (2 years) before it is replaced due to wear. Approximately 11% of all notes printed in 2009 were $20 bills. Twenty-dollar bills are delivered by Federal Reserve Banks in violet straps.
Investing Methodology: IBD.
IBD investor since 2004. I have read read the books "How To Make Money In Stocks" (HTMMIS) by William O'Neil, "The Successful Investor"; "24 Essential Lessons For Investment Success"; "How to Trade Like Jesse Livermore"; "How I Made $2 Million in the Stock Market" by N. Darvas, "How Legendary Traders Made Millions" and "Monster Stocks" by John Boik. I have also attended IBD Level 1 and 2 Seminars. I also attended a seminar by a former IBD employee who has helped me improve my trading further using IBD's system.
After several years of trading/investing using IBDs system I have seen the profits roll in since 2005. I was in cash in through the majority of the mess in 2008. Since 2009 - 2011 I raked in several 50%+ gains with my best being a 107% gain from RVBD. I exited out of the market in 2/23/11.
Currently - 71% LONG (2/22/12).
