Iindelco, delighted to have inspired you to flesh out an interesting and impressive history – to deserved applause.

Peculiar ideas on human versatility have been known in the auto producing world like the classic tale of the assembly line worker forbidden from changing a light bulb (by contract). Plant rigidities may not have extended to most foreign owned companies. What is more certain is that auto firms are huge and can have a correspondingly huge amount of specialization in their employee mix. To those living in that world it can seem the only way to go.

Your job shop may have had a tech staff closer to Axion's in size, though I'm guessing a full spectrum of specializations. I'm hoping that we learn more about C Trego's cost reduction efforts to help us think about any unintended consequences.

    wtb,
Going from double inversion to a single inverter would (besides reducing cost and continuous power loss) eliminate the "clean power" feature of the Residential Hub product.

Tim what's new is that for financial reporting purposes the company is a producer.

The Tom Granville quotation on current needs that I gave above also describes exactly what their tech people have been responsible for all along.

Iindelco, your knowledge in the ways of the auto world tech and bureaucracies have been valuable and relevant to many discussions in the APCs; I don't recall if you have mentioned direct experience in a wide spectrum of organizational sizes?

Does Axion Power have an engineering yo-yo condition?

TG from Tim's 10K quotation way above:
"As of 12/31/2012" .... "a reduction from 16 to 11 on the scientific and engineering team", a 30% decline from a year earlier.

TG from today's conference call introduction:
" Engineering help will be required as we continue to sell products and design products for new application,"

Does this represent tech knowledge continuity or a loss of institutional memory?

Retractable per payment works iindelco, and another solution is to make the charging cord conductors out of inexpensive aluminum.

Re Tesla sales in the New Jersey region.
NJ is a small state (in area) yet surprisingly large in population. Almost 9M headcount makes it about one third more than US average.

That's a good point on not storing the electrode sheeting indefinitely as activated carbon by nature adsorbs many organic and other contaminants from the air.

Storing in bagged bulk rolls should reduce this exposure compared to open sheets.

    Re LT
    "most of the posters here"
" touted for two years that there would be orders from BMW"

Unfair and not correct regarding large production orders.
Of course there have been small orders for the testing programs of BMW.

This is due to the good education given to us here on how slow auto industry practices are by iindelco and followup work by others such as timeline estimates of apmarshall, JP and others.

Therefore its been the opposite of what you say, LT.

The few exceptions might be a handful of posters who used a small percent of their posts to exult over early mass production possibilities they may have expected in their enthusiasm.

Don't blame them for your errors, mine, or Bang's in stock price predictions.

" odds of success for the NS 999 are much higher today because of the earlier failure" BY ANOTHER BATTERY COMPANY

    .........................

Please everyone remember that new fresh blood reading this board cannot be assumed to have an in-depth knowledge of Axion history throughout the years.

Each and every reference to the NS999 failure should please specify that it was a failure of A DIFFERENT BATTERY by a DIFFERENT BATTERY COMPANY.

It is not necessary to publicly besmirch the Axion record and imply there was an Axion PbC technical failure that never happened.

Futurist, your surprise is understandable. It involves two issues of deficit vs debt:
1.) The debt does keep going up, NEVER down.
2.) The sum of deficits do not add up to the debt as one might logically assume. Look into the definitions.

    Maya, re
"top five international November 2012 importers of activated carbon, none of which includes the US."

Aren't those the top 5 countries that the US is importing FROM? That's why the chart would not include the US.

Chart title is "November 2012 U.S. Imports"

    NGS,

It is possible to honestly confuse an obsessively worrying investor lacking informative analysis for a troll.

If a non-troll learns that their writing has started to become indistinguishable from that of a troll it might be a good time to look in the mirror.
